Hi Marco,

I appreciate that,  but sellers cannot cancel auctions if there's less than 12 hours to run.

So with this example:

14 hours to run, Reserve placed but not met, 4 bids on the auction,  and seller ends the auction.

They pay the Reserve fee as that is non refundable,  but because the Reserve is not met, do they still pay a seller fee on the highest bid placed ?

There would be a charge if there was no reserve.

Thanks for your reply, tressygirl

As per the table I shared with you above, 12 or more hours, 1 or more bids with reserve price not met, Yes, you can end the listing. However, you may be charged a final value fee based on the amount of the highest bid.

Thank you,

Marco

Which retailer do we use now that you are stopping the use of paying by nectar vouchers? It certainly won't be Ebay anymore. I bet sellers and buyers are over the moon.

Hi @chrbac.uye5b7

Theres still a lot of retailers that accept vouchers. You can check the Nectar site for the full list.

Thanks,

Dave

I'm sorry this isn't a question, but @bobsbrickstuff says is correct, the labels for international shipping have never printed in the correct format.
I don't think it's technical, it's never worked for me, I gave up buying postage via eBay because of the time consuming work around and label wastage.

Jo

Hi @bojangled ,

No worries thank you for letting me know it has never been the correct format. The other issue with labels from the postage board may have been a different issue. I'll have a further look into it.

Thank you,

Kat

Thanks Marco, yes I'm aware  auctions can be ended if there are more than 12 hours to run , the question was if a Reserve is Not met ,  is there a seller fee to pay  for the bids placed.

The answer you're showing from that page,  ' you MAY be charged'  is a very grey answer, appreciate it's not yours but eBay's ' explanation'   but you can appreciate I'm non the wiser.

Other mentors were asking this too,  I'll get back to them,  with the above ?  🤔

Thanks for your time !

Thanks for your reply but not really answered the question.

It is not in regard to best match and people seeing different listings. It is the fact that ebay don't actually show buyers the important infomation in a listing they have selected. If an item is new other or used. But then fail to actually show buyers any important information that would benefit the buyer reading like if there are marks or something missing. Which then when the buyer actually reads later or causes them to open a not as described return.

Latests return ID 5272385178 claiming pillowcase missing when listing clearly states only one pillowcase included.

Maybe if ebay spent more time displaying this information to buyer than playing around adding a button for buyers to cancel items it would help sellers to avoid defects where I have done nothing wrong.

Thanks for your reply, tressygirl

It basically means that yes, you will be charged a fee for the highest bid at the time you end your listing.

Thank you,

Marco

The new search bar for active listings is missing one feature: the ability to search for listings that do not have a 'Best Offer' option.

kat@ebay yes, bojangled's issue is the same as mine. It's definitely technical, but technical on eBay's end rather than the seller's end.

I have these report numbers:

SR# 1-461498771408

SR# 1-458893649351

I've been pushing to get it fixed for a long time. There was even an element of gaslighting from tech support - for nearly a year they insisted over email there was no issue... despite presenting clear evidence that I was experiencing one. In one email to tech support where I linked them to several forum threads about the issue, they replied saying that nobody else was having the problem!

After initially reporting in January 2023, the issue was eventually acknowledged 23rd Oct 2023, and has been escalated twice. I've been asked to submit info and photos that I've already submitted, and working around it really slows things down. Christmas is approaching and if this still persists it's going to eat a lot of time that could be spent putting more stock up for sale.

Sorry for the info dump vent, it's just been frustrating trying to get it fixed, thanks for looking into it!

Hi @returns_andexdisplay

Obviously the information you provide in the listing is there for the buyers to see. I get what you're saying about buyers possibly not reading description or parts of it etc. Parts of the listing can sometimes need to be expanded this can among other reasons be for when the listing is optimised for mobile devices.

I will send your suggestion to the be looked into as a possible update.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi @chrbac.uye5b7

There was a technical issue for this but it was resolved this morning. Ive checked your account and its definitely been resolved for you on the web. You may however need to update the app for the fix to replicate there.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi @bobsbrickstuff ,

Thanks for the SR numbers.  It will help to have the issue tracked from previous reports.  I will follow it up from my side and I will get back to you when I have an update. I won't have a timescale for it but I will update you when I can.

Thank you,

Kat

Hi @bobsbrickstuff ,

Apologies for the delay on this, just took abit longer to get the details. From the SR's you provided it was reported in January and followed up in March 2023. It was being investigated for it being technical that the formatting of the labels was not right.   However after looking into the issue further they confirmed its not a bug, its the way its designed.

Unfortunately there is no timescale for when a change in the design will happen.  I will track all users who report it so we can keep updating from here.

Sorry for the inconvenience of it and I know this is not ideal but it does mean you will need to keep doing your workarounds for now.

Thank you,

Kat
