There are plenty threads with people complaining about Evri, many have replys from happy customers saying " I havn't had a problem with Evri" but if you did then you would find out just what a joke they are.
The measure of a company is how they deal with problems.
Try contacting customer services! They will email you quick smart.... but its just an automated reply, generic, sent to everyone that starts a chat on line .
Phone them...its no better.
They left my parcel outside in the street,(not the first time) its been stolen (also not the first time).
They have a tracking photo that proves non delivery, its in the street otside my closed door.
Yet ebay say the tracking shows delivered.
The sale of goods act 2015 means nothing to ebay.
For me, Evri is killing Ebay

I paid for something else todayon EBAY, and ask them not to use EVRI, but
It’s an Evri label that has been generated for me to use and I don’t think I can change that at my end?
and from EBAY
This seller is using the Simple Delivery programme to post this item. For postage related questions including lost or damaged in transit, please contact eBay’s Customer Service or file a claim by clicking on the purchase history section from My eBay menu.
so much for freedom of choice

I posted this so long ago I am surprised its still active ( 203 ) and the eBay faithfull haven't closed it down.
I had exactly the same problem over and over again so stopped using eBay some time ago for purchases as eBay Simple Deliver almost always uses Evri as I assume they must get a cut otherwise why use the worst delivery company in the UK with a near 70% dissatisfaction in any independent unmanipulated poll.
I have asked people please don't use Evri as it will not get here '' Sorry eBay did this automatically '' a week or two goes by and they endup refunding me because it never arrived - Totally pointless so i don't bother now.

And now, I report yet one item that never arrived from EVRI, and just got an email from eBay, which has the wrong item from a different seller, that has arrived (by Royal Mail) and told I have to wait until OCTOBER 9,
before they look into it,

Hi if every one who has received unacceptable service from ebay carriers reported it to OFCOM and requested a case number also contacted trading standards and the citizens advice bureau then maybe if enough complain something maybe done to stop this atrocious service
Ofcom won't investigate individual complaints regarding Evri. Other than having to have a compliant complaints procedure in place Evri is not regulated by Ofcom.
Trading Standards is primarily concerned with the enforcement of consumer protection legislation rather than the efficiency of a business.

Ofcom is the primary regulator for postal services and couriers, but read their website and it appears to do very little and nothing about standards. The pages that deal with with complaints directs people to contact which ever service/courier has been used and if you're not happy with the response then seek legal advice.
I was recently in a large store with a post office offering Evri as a service and saw store staff rescuing a number of parcels which had been left in the middle of the store by someone from Evri. From their conversation this kind of thing was not uncommon. Just confirmed why I never use Evri.

hi, never had a problem with EVRI but always have problems with YODEL , i will not buy anything that is advertised with Yodel delivery
29-09-2025 3:45 PM
I brought a record it took them nearly 2 weeks to deliver it with no update. When they did decide to give an update I waited in all day, nothing. They then updated me the next day, I waited in again. They then updated idiot left a very expensive record in the pouring rain outside a block of flats over the road. Stop using Evri.

Totally agree, just had a double evri delivery, or should I say non delivery
1st they lied about an attempted delivery 26th Sep, we were in.....
The 2 separate items then floated about the evri system for a week or more, occasionally a BS message would flag on the tracking "delayed, please wait 24 hr"
Then on Oct 2nd they claimed "delivered", both items, ... We were in... no parcels
Pursued evri customer service and the complaint system (there isnt one despite what they say), got fed the same old tripe message after message (two open cases)
The clincher? No proof of delivery on either item
Conclusion? evri lie about:
"attempted delivery"
"delivery made"
I have been trying to ascertain whether this is driver orientated to meet "targets" set by local managers
Or
Local manager directed and instruction given to drivers in order for local managers to meet "targets"
Or
whether the rot goes all the way to the core
We have had this problem ever since Hermes became evri, often the parcel quietly arrives a few days after the incident, this time I suspect they wont
So, assuming You have read this far, what to do?
In my case I used the ebay system to alert them by stating a non delivery, this 1st puts the onus on the seller (unfortunately), they then need to prove delivery, if as in my case there was no delivery they rely in the tracking proof, at which point ebay may resolve the case NOT in your favour,
Then appeal to ebay and ask to be rung, if you do as i did and do this on a Saturday you get someone really nice from Ireland (no language probs there!) and YOU STATE the facts CLEARLY as I did
Your single incidence wont make any difference immediately BUT the weight of evidence is slowly gathering against evri, very soon they will lose this "ebay simple delivery" contract.... just like they were kicked out of toolstation for exactly this reason....
Since the inception of ebaysimple/evri contract we have had in our local town a new "depot" being rented by evri local managers and daily a huge number of small cars and vans scrabbling, nay scrumming to fill their cars with parcels to meet this new demand
I guarantee (my son worked for these particular local managers for a while) that none of these "drivers" are vetted, so when a delivery is just "too hard" OR when the contents feel that little bit "too tempting" then the parcel goes astray..... either into a hedgerow, bin or in the boot... for "later"
The sheer amount of time and frustration these criminals have caused me this week has prompted this rather in depth response
You are correct that unless removed pronto "evri is killing ebay"
For the benefit of any evri rep, manger etc reading this, let me say:
"it has become clearly apparent that what at first seemed to be a driver/target issue of falsifying "delivery attempted" or "delivery made" is in fact an endemic, systemic rot that festers deep within your money grabbing greedy, emotive, pustulent organisation,
When things that are a little rotten on the surface they can be scrubbed up and made good, but things that are rotten to the core will Always ... implode
I hope this helps others in using their time effectively

Ah, but only evri lie about attempted deliver and delivery made, in that they are unique and your "anonymous" status tells us you are probably part of the gang :0/

This is pretty typical in my experience. They will state attempted delivery (although they never even try) and then state it will get sent back to sender. Unfortunately in many cases it simply goes missing and the sender never receives the item back.
On Reddit there are threads on evri, and huge fury with the company, it seems they have no regulators so can operate as they please with no consequences.
If now sent by evri my automatic assumption is that it will NOT arrive.
That is how bad they are.

As a seller and a buyer, I have always found Evri to be reliable, far more so than Royal Mail. Out of 900+ parcels, I have only had three issues. Two were lost and I received full compensation with no quibble, the other was delivered to the wrong address, recovered, and returned to me. None have been delivered late.
I find the above incredibly hard to believe, out of 900 parcels, 897 delivered on time perfectly, from Evri?
We all know the reality.
My experience, seven out of last nine parcels never arrived, both to click and collect and my house, one of the two left on a main street in pouring rain and stolen, possibly by the courier themselves. Despite promises of a callback from evri have never had anything but bot generated excuses. All of the excuses different and some just plain absurd (BP Garage 24/7 collection point was "closed").
Look on other forums, some real horror stories, too frequent to be unusual.
Now because evri is hidden.... I am VERY reluctant to buy off private sellers.... you'll note very few business sellers use evri, I even pay more just to avoid the chance evri is involved.

I agree. i have awaited two parcels for two days now (which apparently are stuck with EVRI,) after being told they were arriving and then not coming.
'Simple Delivery' is anything but, for the buyer, and takes days longer, often past the advised time.
I have changed my delivery preferences now to Royal Mail, not very impressive either, but they do send me info of arrival. (you can do it on ebay). look for 'Change Preferences'.
I refuse to use EVRI ever again. Yes, i believe it will kill off ebay. Certainly the weakest link.

If you go to 'delivery preferences' on ebay, you can eliminate using Evri. The option is Royal Mail. So take your pick. I've eliminated EVRI. Whether Royal Mail is any better ? i don't know yet. I think it is.
