Collection only seller not giving full address

Hi

I brought an item on ebay collection only ask for full address just got a message to pick up half way down a street contact mobile number. Tried to cancel buyer refused. what can I do to get  money back

Select "Report an item you didn't receive" on here:

and escalate it 3 complete working days later.

Last year I arranged for a relative to collect some goods from an ebay seller on my behalf, and it was agreed that the handover would be done outside a local shopping parade.  It all went smoothly.  What is it that you're concerned about?

I've completed 'collection only' sales all over the place (as a buyer and a seller)

Including motorway services, bus stations and even the N.E.C.! ( when it turned out buyer and I were going to be at the same exhibition...)

They all went well.

Not really a problem.

Same as you think its iffy. The seller might be the same so has decided to meet you away from his/her address.

Make sure its a public place where there are plenty of people about.

As long as you dont hand money over until you have inspected the item and are happy with it.

I would have been fine with picking it up like that but it was like pulling teeth just to get at pickup point. The conversation went like this . B: Can I have an address to pickup from S: Post code, yet that was it no street nothing else. Thinking that I had mist something I then message can I have your full address S: address without the number, that was the message. Scratching my head thinking hmm, looked on Google maps a street with about 50 houses. So again I message seller explaining how am I going to know you to pick up the item. Finally got the info I needed but by this time I was wondering why such a carry on. Hens the reason I am wanting to cancel. In fact I had message them four times the first time no message.
