I purchased an item in May the seller very kindly said he would hold onto it until we could travel to pick it up. I can't find the sellers details or get into purchase history. Can someone help please?
A few things you need to know when buying collection items in future:
1. Ebay's Money Back Guarantee lasts for 30 days. After that timeframe, Ebay can't help you.
2. There is no buyer protection on collection items with PayPal, or with any payment processor. There are exceptions, such as items which can't be fully examined before paying, such as unplumbed washing machines, or items bought from dealers.
3. There is no buyer protection on collection items in consumer law. The law states 'caveat emptor' (buyer be aware). Exceptions apply as above.
As such, collection items should be paid for in cash or by bank transfer, once you've fully examined the item and are happy with it.
