New Payout Rules for Business Accounts

I have business account and Ebay in their infinite wisdom, have changed the way I'm paid out to 3 days after delivery has been confirmed. Apparently this is being rolled out to everyone via email. Anyone else experienced this?

This is the email I received July 5th. 

We are making changes to the way we process payments on eBay. Going forward, we’ll make your funds available for payout within 72 hours after we’ve confirmed delivery of the item. Until then, you’ll see a “hold” on your funds. This process helps keep our marketplace safe.

Thats exactly the message we had except our funds arent released until after 30 days from date of order as all our post is sent untracked 2nd class royal mail. So if you send untracked they keep your money for 30 days +

The big picture is that ebay will be rolling this out to everyone so globally will earn them stacks of interest. What really stinks is that they are offering loans when they are holding our money! Its one for the ombudsman for sure. I'm a 100% trusted seller, 24 years standing and just want my account back to normal.

Its not being rolled out to everyone. Had that confirmed by numerous CS agents now. Its apparently if your account is a 'risk' to the selling community. Our account has 46000 positive feedback and is above standard but they've still put us on this payout hold for 30 days? No one will tell us what is wrong with our account. I do think there is a case for the ombudsman to be fair. Even amazon only holds our money for 10 days! Not 30! Its a real cashflow killer for sure when times are so hard.

Doesn't seem like anyone at CS has a clue tbh. My accounts top rated and i've had this payout thing for a month now.

I had it in writing that my account would go back to normal in 30 days! They have refused to sort this and be assured I've no issues, no open cases no bad feedback. They're hitting the higher turnover accounts first and trust me this will happen to everyone eventually. I've read posts in the US and they're saying its coming to all.

CS will just give you lip service. I feel sorry for them as they are told what to do.

They arent going to sort it as its a permanent change. Well thats what I've been told anyway.

Agreed, its a case of "suck it up" or don't use us. I'm aggrieved with the way it was implemented, being lied to and then offered loans when its my money they're holding!

I'm totally with you. This past month has been very difficult for us. And they also still take out their promoted fees etc which creates a massive negative balance so by the time payouts start being out after 30 days its another 15 days to clear the negative balance! Unreal.

Yep, they don't even forward the postage price so we have to pay up front! 80 parcels this week for us, mostly going overseas at £12-£30 per tracked parcel which equates to 4 figures post cost! Also we sometimes give refunds to orders not delivered and you've guessed it they take it out of your next payout rather than the actual order itself!

If this is being rolled out to everyone I really cant believe why we arent seeing millions more business sellers kicking off! I just want a reason given to me why they've applied it to our 24 year old business selling account! And from talking to the Ombudsman that is what the financial ombudsman will be pursuing.. a reason for this policy and why its been applied. The ombudsman seem shocked on the phone conversation we had how there was not even any warning to adjust to the new 30 day payouts.

What doesn't make sense to me is how some *bleep*ty private sellers get their payouts faster than businesses lol. eBay are clueless af.

Why is yours 30days? is it all untracked? i'm on 3 days after delivery atm, I need to call them to get stuff released that hasn't been tracked properly but buyers have confirmed receipt, I post everything tracked 48 with or without sig.

I am truly astounded at this, been a business seller (other account) since 2001. It hasn’t been applied to my account but I have little doubt that this is the way forward for businesses soon. 
After all V**ted hold for 14 days in Pro accounts until the buyer is satisfied, is this another copycat decision. 
Really was holding out for something for business sellers, but it seems we continue to be squeezed.

I cant say whether it will be rolled to every business seller. Kat from ebay said its not being rolled out to everyone only to accounts that have something against them but the CS agent say it is being rolled out to everyone? Make of that what you will. So if it is applied to you. Its either payment 72 hours after confirmed delivery or 30 days after date of order if untracked.

All of ours is untracked 2nd class yes. Tracked post would cost more than some of our stickers thats why we cannot send tracked post. So yes its all 30 days fund hold for untracked. Which is more than private sellers! Private sellers get their funds sent untracked within 24 hours now. Really fair isnt it and we have 46000 pos feedback and been on here 24 years.

Well, trust me I have zero issues-never have had. 100% pos feedback an exemplary account so why do it to me? CS don't give you answers, spoken to several now and each say something different.  The stink of it is they are offering me 30k loans with my money!

I have no idea why they’ve done it to us either. Just hoping somehow they are forced to backtrack but I doubt it
