Is this a change of payout time for private sellers? If so it will be well received I'm sure...

Just seen this appear on the payment hold info page. From 6th august 2025 private sellers will be paid out within 24 hours if they have a 'strong sales history'. Is this a big change in payout policy for private sellers? I think it will be very well welcomed. Maybe ebay realise it was driving private buyers and sellers away off the platform? Also does it include untracked posted items as well or only tracked?

I would imagine it applies to all items sent, as the link in the middle of the blue section, doesn't mention tracked or untracked.

For ebay to make a change like this I would guess its most certain they have seen a huge downturn in private sellers and buyers on this platform hence all the posts about lack of sales. Good move for once by ebay!

They have also announced a reduction in the fixed part of the BPF from 75p to 10p!

Sometimes they DO listen it seems (but probably only when it hits their pocket!)

Yes literally just seen that. Just shows hey what damage it was doing. I was having a pint in a beer garden on monday and there was a bloke on the table next to me ranting about ebay had done and the extortionate buyer protection fees and payout times. Funny how things turn around for the good sometimes.

It obviously shows that these new changes have not worked out as ebay had hoped. Notice also it hasn't been rolled out to any other ebay site location. Hopefully this is a first step to removing all the recent changes and getting the site back on track.

I am genuinely pleased for private sellers. 

But

I’m really excited at the fact that business sellers get some new buttons on the seller hub…don’t know which one to press first

This is good but I'm sick of forced postage, there's no way to send an item & choose signed for only which potentially leads to buyers saying they haven't received their goods when items can be left outside their property I'm absolutely sick to death of ebay treating private sellers like dirt

That means there will be conditions that ebay sets and sellers have to meet to get paid earlier.

Another set of hoops and trip-wires, rules and regs. just to get what until recently was taken for granted.  

And this is welcomed ?  What an awful site this has become.
