Is Ebay in terminal decline...................?

I could be wrong as these are opinions based on what limited information i can see, but the changes over the last couple of years have as i mentioned in a post about a year ago, broken the camels back.

PL, and unsustainable and a flawed concept, inherently they destroy the seller and eventually ebay.

Other opinions please, from your perspective as we all see thing slightly different.

Ps......this should be the busiest time of year for many, for the love of goodness don't hold all your eggs in one basket, if they are get a Plan B and get the hell out of Dodge City........i wish everyone on here well in life.

Regards Shane.

Re: Is Ebay in terminal decline...................?

Well, this morning i've been trying to find some of my listings, i mentioned it in the weekly pointless chat last week and received a condescending reply telling me how to list an item.

Mine are among the cheapest on ebay, but if i click lowest price, only one of mine shows up, the rest are in the streamlined camp.........may as well pack it in.

Re: Is Ebay in terminal decline...................?

I won't comment any further on this thread.   You're now safely back in the tram lines talking about how some businesses are 'getting it for free'.

I don't believe you're interested in private sellers, how changes have affected them or how their declining numbers have affected business sales.

Do carry on ignoring how declining numbers of private sellers affects business sales whether correctly registered or not.  Even if ebay purged every "private" seller tomorrow, you'll still be stuck with declining sales without private sellers as your 'captive audience'.

Well    No2, taken 13 listings, now they aren't the cheapest, they are in the middle, if they don't sell on here in 8 weeks they are going to the tip.

Believe what you like but I've been constant in my words, and can back everything up when asked.

Re: Is Ebay in terminal decline...................?

This is the graph of one of our historical biggest sellers. Now tell me there hasn't been a problem with ebay in November. Its only now picking back back up literally in the last day. From the 5th November onwards look at the drop. I'd say a 60% drop at least. Something has been going on. But I do not understand how ebay cant admit or deny this?

It's working as designed, designed to keep you baffled and jumping through hoops.

Re: Is Ebay in terminal decline...................?

Hi Shane,

You are 1000% correct, I have just contacted a buyer regarding an issue and could not believe that they have changed the template on eBay messages, I believe they are trying to control even that, it took me 15 minutes to work out how to use the dam thing! Why change it, it's being fine for over 10 years!

Re: Is Ebay in terminal decline...................?

Hi Shane,

Something else!

Seller help is changing

Seller help is becoming more personalised, or the correct term which should read "Penalised" and we're making it easier for you to request the removal of feedback, defects and late deliveries. See "Suggestions for you" below for help with a recent order, or to make and manage requests.

"Suggestions for you" Is pointless as it only shows the last orders and when you find it and contact them you still get no answer from eBay.

This is a 100% pure lie, I sent an email to eBay to request removal of a negative feedback due to the royal mail failure, Once I knew about the issue from the buyer I refunded him and in less than an hour a big fat negative feedback was left, so the above statement is false and 100% misleading. eBay needs to get a grip and see these issues so 1 negative and 2 unfair neutrals still on my account.
