Any thoughts as why would suddenly ebay sales would do ZERO since start of February.
We have been closely monitoring our sales and since start of January 2025 sales are down. But they have now completely died as soon as February started.

Dress it up how you like. I can’t speak for business sellers, but as a private seller the few sales i used to make have completely tanked. It’s too much of a coincidence for me not to blame BPF. It’s made prices look ugly.
I’m sure it’s a psychological thing. Retail has always had this thing about the 99 concept e.g. £19.99 of £100,999,. it’s as i said a psychological thing for potential buyers.
Now the prices buyers see is £41.15 (what was £37.99)

I’ve dressed nothing up, I’ve told you factual numbers. I didn’t just show you a business account vs private, it was a very good example of the exact numbers of the old fee structure that used to be in place for private sellers.
now you’ve gone and used a different argument about sales tanking. And as far as I’m aware, this has happened site wide for both private AND business sellers, you’re more than welcome to blame BPF for this, an I’ve stated in my past posts that this does cause a phycological effect.
but there’s not just one variable at play, there are loads. Business sellers are affected by ranking sales currently also, just check in this exact thread from other business accounts.
while BPF plays apart, it’s not the sole reason for ranking sales
and your comment on business sellers rubbing their hands because of BPF is irrelevant because figures show that even with BPF, private sellers earn more when they DO get a sale, as long as it’s not a low value item.
I’ve given you facts, not dressing things up.
your giving me speculation and what you ‘think’ is happening, without facts. And I agree 100% that it more than likely plays a part, but it doesn’t explain all sales ranking, does it?

Buyers also perceive they are paying for something they already had, connecting it to the Money Back Guarantee despite ebay saying it's for something different.

This I also agree with 100%, eBay probably realises this but I still think the goal was to legally claim it’s free to sell while in reality, their fees are still affecting the sellers.
They probably considered this but still implemented it in hopes customers will eventually come around and see they are still paying the same price and sellers will see they still have a pretty low fee in comparison to the past
