Business account changed to private account unknowingly and confirmed by CS

Our payouts got changed from next to 30 day holds last week. Had a call from CS this second saying our business account has been changed to a private account and the agent hasn't got a clue why and its been sent to the tech department. Has anyone else had this done to them? Checked the ebay dashboard all listings are showing as business listings, business account with business contact info showing VAT number etc. All very odd and what a mess up. Business subscription still active etc.

If it is the account you are posting from absolutely everything is showing as it being a business account.

I really feel for you at the moment, seems they are really messing around with your account.

I see you received a call, have you tried to call Dublin CS to confirm?

Ah man. Its a nightmare. Never known anything like this. We dont even know when our funds will be paid out as everything is sent untracked. I think what theagent meant was is our account payouts have been changed to the same as private sellers. But I cant be sure. Just keep getting calls from the US not Dublin. How do I call Dublin?I thought it was just an automated callback from wherever? Ebay seem totally inept at present. How they can mess with peoples livelihoods like this I'll never. I have had a reply from the Financial Ombudsman this afternoon so have got to reply to that.

Yep I told the agent that. And a paid up business subscription like weve always had for 24 years on here. Something seriously untoward going on and its happening to other ebay business sellers more and more by the looks of it. There is a few similar posts over on reddit from ebay business sellers having the same things happen to them. People with 100% feedback even.

It is pure luck, I always seem to get Germany. Others have said if you request a callback first thing around 8am you are more likely to get Dublin.

If you have been transferred to a private account are orders showing up as Simple Delivery? Charged FVFs?

I was just about to ask if you regularly send any items untracked. I think I'm being hit with this punishment as well despite the reason for my not uploading tracking being to avoid an unfair "despatched late" ding which would happen on most of the items I sell. It seems eBay have simply found another stick to beat me with instead.

I can't even remember the last time I had an INR case opened; I don't think I've had a single one in the last 12 months.

It would not surprise me if ebay are veering towards another copy the competition approach.

This time, amazon, where you pretty much have to send things tracked. You want to use RM 1st or 2nd Class Untracked?, you need to use Amazon Buy Shipping for that.

Being charged all the usual business FVFs. Nothing changed there. Funny thing is ebay have taken out all their fees creating a big negative balance so even when the funds will be released there will be a large negative balance to clear. Its disgusting. I am hoping to migrate everything to our 'other' selling platform and close our ebay store as we are literally being held to ransom and they can technically close our cashflow down overnight. We had no warning over this or being changed over to what I can assume is same payouts as private sellers.

I suspect this is in readiness for "Simple Delivery for Business Sellers". It wouldn't surprise me if a business seller's options became send it tracked, send it Simple Delivery or wait 30 days for your payout.

Yep we sell on amazon and had to send our franking machine back but had to continue the lease as it was a contract as we send everything 2nd class letter on amazon and have to use their buy shipping. Its getting proper big brother stuff selling online isnt it. I hope I can find another career after selling online for 24 years. Its just getting too risky for my family and paying the mortgage when they can close you down overnight.

I haven't been given any notice but eBay have not released a payout for a while. I have available funds but have "no upcoming payouts".

Your okay by the sounds then. We have a massive 'on hold' balance and not been told for how long for.

Think all you need to do is do an on demand payout which will payout straight away for you.

I'm sure I saw another thread earlier where sellers who send items untracked had received an email from eBay about their payout terms being changed (I can't see one in my inbox). I'll see if I can find it.

Yes that was me who posted that mate but many other business sellers have had the payouts changed as well.

@4_bathrooms try changing your payout schedule to weekly. Having it set to daily disables the on-demand payout feature so change it to anything but daily and see if it then allows you to do an on-demand payout.
