*The Nags head healthy eating group*

This is not a *slimming club* really.

I think it would be nice to have a place to come & chat about weight loss ideas (safe sensible ones only please!),
to share personal experiences and achievements, and also to ask for help.

Lindi is our resident expert, and has kindly offered her help.
Just introduce yourself and come on in, you are most welcome!

Re: *The Nags head healthy eating group*

Hiya's

I'm back from my holl's & have my WI tomorrow night!
Hmmmmmm!
I didn't track at all (surprise, surprise lol) & wasn't particularly good, although where possible I had jacket salad etc.
Basically I didn't go overboard because I was on holiday & I turned down a fry up every morning & stuck to toast lol.
None the less I know I had more points than I should have.
The scales will tell tomorrow so I will no doubt be in for a grilling!
Well done to all of you, I saw some great losses in the threads I read through & I want to be back there with you asap.
Looking forward to tomorrow night to get back on track!
I did do loads of walking so I am hoping it's helped lol.
See yas soon with the verdict lol

Take care & keep up the great work!

Re: *The Nags head healthy eating group*

Hi Clare & Sparkle

I agree, it is easy to get hooked, isn't it? I know I am lol.

Got my weigh in tomorrow night with SW as not open tonight. Done really well on it this week so here's hoping for a good result.

Re: *The Nags head healthy eating group*

HI Everyone - Sparkle, glad you had a good hol. I'm sure the walking will have helped.

Kate - fantastic 7lbs in one week. Keep it up.

Jay - fingers crossed. I've also been really good this week and was off on Friday so went for a 2hr+ bike ride. Feeling OK but this is usually when I put on weight! We'll see later on today.

Hi Clare - well done for getting to your goal. Hope the weigh in's OK.

Hi Scouser - have you spoken to your Dr? He/she should be able to give you some good advice. However, IMO you really need to eat lots of veg etc when you're on a diet to fill you up. Have you tried different veggies to see if you like them (apart from the bog standard peas, carrots etc)?

Fingers crossed for everyone tonight.

Hi everyone

Just back - 1lb off. Reasonably happy (wish it could have been a bit more with all the cycling etc but anything is good).

Now in my BMI weight range which I'm estatic about and only 7.5lbs to go till goal.

Hope everyone else does well tonight.

Re: *The Nags head healthy eating group*

Good evening everyone,
Well I spoke to my leader today and she was really positive about my return, so fingers crossed that I have stayed within the 3lb limit. Have been for nice long walks with my daughter since Sunday and have been reasonably good for the past two days.

Good luck to you all will be back Thursday either laughing or crying.

Re: *The Nags head healthy eating group*

Can i come in. I stopped smoking almost 2 months ago, since then I have put on about 9 lb and i was not slim when i started, I have stayed off the fags but i am very worried about the weight. I don't eat a lot but i do eat all the wrong things, I have started to change my shopping list but i have a lot to learn about calories and fat. I spoke to my sister who has had a weight problem all her life, she said not to panic and stay off the fags. I must admit I am panicking at the moment.

Re: *The Nags head healthy eating group*

Jay & Sparkle - well done. We've all managed a pretty good week!

Hi Catingrass - I'd def concentrate on staying off the fags. What sort of things are you eating? My weaknesses are cakes so I try to have a treat once a week (which I actually enjoy a lot more now than when I was having 1 every day)!

Do you like carrots etc? If you're like me when I stopped smoking (have re-started now) I needed to eat when it was "fag" time. A carrot etc is much better than chocolate etc.

Re: *The Nags head healthy eating group*

Re the smoking. Which is better - getting fat or dying of cancer? Sorry, bit anti-smoking me. Can you tell lol 😉

Lily's idea is brilliant - carrots sound a great idea. Mind you, easy for me to say, I've never smoked in my life.

Re: *The Nags head healthy eating group*

Just on here to apologise if I offended anyone with my last post - didn't mean too, came out wrong. My apologies.

Don't mind smokers, each to their own. Again, I'm sorry.

Re: *The Nags head healthy eating group*

Hi all

just poppped in to say hi, and have seen some lovely mesages of help and support, for myself and others, so thank you for that.

I am off to SW meeting tomorrow, so nothing to report yet, but I am hopeful, although I did have a bit of a chockie day on Monday!! Nothing like the chockie days I used to have tho', I managed to eat 2 Breakaways!!!!!!!

Oh, and I went out for an Indian on Saturday, had Tandoori Chicken, which I hope is OK, a white wine spritzer (yes, honest, just one..... oh and half of another one, but then the waiter wanted to chuck us out (it was late, nothing to do with our behaviour!!) BUT I did have an ice cream pudding - but I went on my running machine which I hope compensates??

Am I sounding nervous?

More news tomorrow - good news I hope!!

See ya
