I purchased a game. It came via a download. The game does not work. A return proceedure gave me a return label in order to get a refund. Since purchase was downloaded, what do I return???

Returning an item, using Royal Mail and tracking. The item tries to get delivered but no answer. This was three days ago so seller has had chance to collect parcel but has not as yet. What is my next course of action as refund is not given until item...
