Pictures missing using APP

I cannot view any pictures for any listing using the eBay APP. The main picture does appear for a second and then disappears.

I have tried reinstalling the APP, clearing the cache etc. The APP is now useless using the android tablet. The tablet uses android 7.0 and is about 7 years old. Will now delete the APP and use the browser instead or is there a fix for the APP?

This is being reported by others also,  you are not alone.  The desktop browser as far as I understand is not having this issue so if you can,  switch to that for now.

It's eBay's maintenance day and many things go awry it could just be a case of trying a little later with the app.

I'm tagging our community managers to see if they can shed some light on this,  if eBay are aware,  and any times for a fix.

Is this still happening for you? Have you the latest ebay app version 6.192.0.3 downloaded?

Can you provide an item number you are searching and a screenshot of your view where it shows no picture?

Hi Kat,

The problem still exists. Only started today. I have just downloaded the APP again from the play store. Version 6.49.0.3.

Happens on any item. See attached photo of tablet showing no photo of the item

Same problem with me since the 21st January, no support from cs, just the mandatory response given as written on the sheet in front of them, update app, clear cache and cookies, blah blah blah. 

Being a seller I need regular access to my listing's but again ebay app fails.

So app dumped and back to main site, no problems with that. 

Dump the app.

Well im "glad" to see I'm not the only one currently suffering this awful issue, and its not just pictures missing but the buy now icons etc too and hope its fixed soon! No update available on my s5mini ...but in opera on phone things seem ok, for now... Holds breath.

I need to buy new phone too as this old backup one just had to be reinstated after 2nd hand poco died after just 4 months 😞

Hi All,

Thank you for the example screenshot @peterjb12 .

There is a ticket opened with tech for the images missing on listings on the app. Some users are also experiencing an issue with missing options for 'Buy it now' , 'Add to basket', 'Make offer', 'Add to Watchlist. This is also being looked into.

Once there is an update from tech I will post back.

I am trying to list items on my Samsung galaxy note 10+ using ebay  app but when it comes to adding the pictures the app doesn't show any to add its like its struggling to access them I've been through setting granting permissions cleared cache checked app version ect to no avail

Thank you for our reply. I think this issue may be different on this thread. Its about viewing listings on the app and icons and the pictures missing.

What your advising of is not being able to add images when creating a listing. Its best not to cause confusion on this thread so can you create a separate thread for your post and tag me on it and I will look into it for you.

Me too. Had this issue for 2 weeks. Do eBay care? Seems not...

The only thing I can recommend is to use the main site. The app has serious issues, I dumped it last week and been using the main site since with no problems. Yes listing on the main site is long winded but at least you can operate the listing's, get sales and bid/buy from other sellers.

I'll never use the app again. 

As I said previously ebay has pre-programmed responses to any users complaints and will always make us out to being the problem and not their dodgy app.

I have the same problem on my Android  tablet. Everything fine on my PC and phone. Very frustrating as I gave four items finishing today.

Everyone experiencing the issue on this thread has been added to the open ticket with tech which is ongoing with them.

Just make sure you are updated to the latest version of the app and for anyone adding to the thread from now if you can state your version of your devices operating system.

Same issues on tablet ,no image ,no logo ,not possible to view orders ,eBay said re install ! Didn't work ,not very good at all ,unable to use app as of jan 2025 ! All other apps fine .
