I have had this problem for over a month now with 0 help from eBay support, from within the eBay app only 12 out of 40 listings are being shown, you can’t even search for them either, contacted support they told me to delete and reinstall the app which doesn’t work because I have had multiple buyers on the app contact me saying they cannot purchase my items because it tells them they cannot from within the app and to instead add to wishlist, this is greatly impacting my sales and I’m receiving no help on the subject, it’s clearly a bug on eBay’s end and it needs fixing

Have they tried buying it from a web browser?
Are they in the UK?

It works fine from the web browser on both pc and mobile but they can’t specifically from within the app, but considering a lot of people wouldn’t go to the trouble of trying it it’s definitely impacting my sales, yeah they’re from the UK too

There have been other posts about the same issue on these forums. But it's too late in the day for me to look for them.

Yeah I've read the other posts too, I'm just trying to get as much exposure on the issue because support seem to have no idea about the situation and how badly its affecting some of us

Hi wrapify, thanks for your post.
Would this be a digital delivered item? If so, some digital delivered items are not allowed to be sold on the app. They can only be purchased through the desktop, so if you redirect your buyer to the browser of their phone or computer, they should be able to see the item from there and purchasing it. If this is not a digital delivered item, please let me know the item number, and I will be happy to take a further look for you.
Thank you,
Marco

Hi Marco thanks for getting back to me, it’s a physical item, it’s a vinyl wrap that gets applied to Xbox consoles, here’s an item number for the Batman skin that someone has tried to purchase but it didn’t let them, this is also one that doesn’t appear in my products page or in the search anymore, to clarify though, it does seem to appear on the android eBay app but still doesn’t allow the user to purchase it, on the iPhone app it is just not even there at all

Thanks for your reply, wrapify.
Yes, I can see that's a physical item, let me flag that with our tech team now. I will get back to you here once I get an update from them. 👍
Thank you,
Marco

I’m having the same issues too, I flagged this to support a few months back and they advised to restart the app etc. I checked on other peoples phones who also had the same issue as me. Support advised they would escalate but they may not be able to sort it. I now have several listings where customers may not be able to see the listing through the app and I’m missing out on potential sales.
tech support, please try and sort this. It’s not a user error!!

Please check, relating to 388922300715, I’ve attached the first 2 screenshots from the eBay app, the other is from the browser which shows it’s working there BUT NOT THE APP.

marco@ebay any updates on this? I know you said you’d let us know when you get a reply but me and a few of these sellers don’t understand why this can’t get a fix, it’s been happening since March and it’s really impacting our sales and it feels like we aren’t being taken seriously or heard

Hi @wrapify , thanks for your patience on this.
I've just got an update on your case, and I was confirmed that you're listing your items in the video games category, which is making the system believe that you have a digital item. If you update your category, the system will understand that it is a physical item, and will start showing on both browser and app searches.
Thank you,
Marco

Hi Marco,
It is classed as a faceplate and decal within the video game and console accessories, which is as a physical item in itself so I don't see how this would make any difference. I have had no issues with them being in that category when I first started selling so I don't get why it is now a problem. There is no issue with the browsers not showing them it is strictly a problem within the app. Not to direct the frustration to yourself but I feel like I keep having to repeat the main issue which is:
The iphone app displays 12 of 40 listings and if a buyer somehow manages to locate a listing which has been hidden it will only allow them to add to their wishlist and says it cannot be purchased using the app
The android app displays all of the listings but again on those which appear to be hidden from the IOS app, these still cannot be purchased from within the android app, only those 12 listings which can originally be seen on the IOS app can be purchased from within the android app
The browser on both mobile and PC works fine with no issues
My items are listed within the video games and console accessories, then within another category of faceplates, decals and stickers which are classed as physical items
Here is all the info the technical team should need to work out what the issue is.
Thanks again for chasing them up on this hopefully there will be a fix soon

Just to add to this, if having them in the video game category was an issue then how is it possible for it to still show 12 of my listings if they aren't classed as physical items
05-09-2025 2:04 PM
My listings aren’t under video games and I’m having the same issue so this isn’t the cause at all.
it is 100% a bug on eBay’s side.

Hi, there are also quite a few people who are having a similar problem in that on the App our shop fronts show nothing but the message “This shop has no inventory in your location”, however using the website everything is normal.
Could this be looked into as well please as it’s obviously a technical glitch.
07-09-2025 10:53 AM
This is definitely a glitch on the iOS eBay app because as a buyer this message shows up frequently even when trying to make a purchase of physical goods from a seller in my own country (the U.K.)
I see the “this shop has no inventory in my area” banner when I go to look at the sellers inventory, sometimes I can only see a few items and other times no items at all.
Buying and selling is what eBay is all about so you would think something as serious as this would have been sorted out straight away but for me it has been going on for months and has prevented me from making many purchases. I’m sure it would be a different story if eBay could be sued for loss of earnings by the businesses losing out on sales and it would have been fixed ASAP.
What with this and the the other debacle of having to own a credit card as the only means of proving your age I’m just about done with eBay, the old adage of “not being able to hold a p#ss up in a brewery” seems very apt to me right now.
