Ebay App not working - Android 13!

Like a lot of folks here, I received a message for Ebay about updating the app, noted it was Android 10 and above went ahead as I'm running Android 13, that was my first mistake.

Ebay app wouldn't update as "This app won't work for your device".

Double-checked Android version, definitely 13 (Screenshot attached).

Logged a call with Ebay support, chased this 3 months later - use a browser!

Ebay via a browser loses some of the functionality, plus it's a PITA having to set reminders so you don't miss items.

Device is a Redmi Note 10T 5G, I'm guessing it could be something to do with the MIUI front end that Xiaomi use but that would mean anyone with a Xiaomi/Redmi phone using MIUI would have this issue?

Do you have a screenshot of the error you get when you try to use or download the app, so I can take a further look for you?

Forgot to add, I've tried downloading the 6.208 Ebay APK directly to my phone (via Softpedia)  and get the

"This app won't work on your device" message

Hi Marco I have the same issue with a mi cc9 pro running  MIUI 13.

Assuming from the above this is an app rather than UI problem. Is there a time frame for a fix? Regards Paul

Could you please confirm the full software version number that is running on your phone at the moment? Also, if you have the app installed, please let me know the version of it as well, and if you are just unable to download the app and get the same error as above, let me know and I will see if the  issue is related to our technical problem.

Android Version is 13 TP1A.220624.014

MIUI is 14.0.6

I haven't got the app and I can't install from a downloaded APK, it says
that the app won't work with my phone

I've managed to get it working. 

I had to setup a passkey to use it.

I think I had a version on the phone that stopped working and once I logged in via chrome and setup a passkey I could access it again. I seem to have had a similar issue with the Santander app although I've not yet tried to relog in to that.

Trying to help my father who is changing phone from an IPhone 13 mini to a One Plus 13 running Oxygenos 15 ie the latest android iteration.

The ebay app is stated as incompatible in Google Play Store on his new phone and consequently will not download. He is a frequent user of ebay and would be very disappointed if he was unable to continue to use it. Using it in his browser is not an option due to his poor eyesight.

Thanks for you input people in another thread, updated every thing again where possible, cleared the data and cache in Google Play Store cleared cache in Google Play Services and found an update to OxygeneOS 15. Finally now able to download the ebay app.

Same message "This app won't work on your device" on Android 14, Sony Xperia XQ-DQ54

Cleared the data, cache and updating Google play services does not help. I do not use and not going to use the passkey option, if primary suggestion will be to activate it.

Upgrading to Android 15, as the previous poster did, may resolve the problem (Android 15 is available for the Xperia 1 V).
