I dont think you can paint tiles (of any sort) but here are two places you may want to check - http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=44486 & http://www.curbly.com/users/modhomeecteacher/posts/6956-yes-you-can-paint-a-ceramic-tile-floor
I was a painter years ago and Id never even try to paint a floor witth tiles of any sort.

If you are renting and hate the flooring buy a rug you can take with you..........or two or three if its a big room. Hide the tiles around the edge of the rug . with some really cheap lino, , wood, carpet or vinyl ...........no need to run it under the rugs Buy an off cut and cut it up to fit the edges.. If you own the house then you will need a long term solution......!!

Hello OP
If the bedroom tiles you are on about are ceramic wall tiles then yes you can get tile paint, Ronseal is one make which I have used and purchased from Homebase. You can use a roller but make sure it is not one of the cheap spongy type because the paint is that strong it will just melt the sponge, it will tell you on the tin which one to use.
Ronseal also do a floor paint which would also be OK for floor tiles (Old quarry tiles)

Tiles on a bedroom floor? What sort of Medieval home do you live in? Try living in the present, there is a covering called carpet, its an upgrade from hard flooring

Try telling that to people in Wales who get flooded every year.
