Will Abu Qatada ever be kicked out?

Update on our grinning friend:

Who needs enemies when we have a court that blocks the government that was voted in by the people?

🙂

😄    Qatada's lawyers are to file legal papers asking for him to be released immediately.

Are we still paying for his defence in Jordan?

😄     I wonder in the meantime will his wife say she does not now need a bigger house now he has gone?

Well, it would be a nice gesture to those that have looked after them for free for so many years. Just show a little gratitude Mrs Qatada. You are hardly pleasing your neighbours it seems.

Re: Will Abu Qatada ever be kicked out?

I'm glad he's gone 😄

As an aside though are we safer from his actions if he is given his freedom in Jordan than we were when he was in prison in the UK ?:|

Re: Will Abu Qatada ever be kicked out?

Well I did ask if  he goes will it be the end of it?  Well, surprise, hate preacher Omar Bakri  has threatened us :-

Radical cleric Abu Qatada's deportation has placed Britain at risk (that's news;-)) from furious Muslims who 'never forget',  (yes we have a few at #29, they seem slightly furious)   he claimed the deportation was a 'violation of Qatada's human rights'.

Muslims will hold the British people responsible for whatever happens to him. They never forget and in the future they will come face to face Bakri warned today. He said a lot mooooooore but this will do for now.

Waiting in hope that we will be getting a response from the Muslim Council Of Britain.

Thank you.

Re: Will Abu Qatada ever be kicked out?

BTW

in the end

He left, the Tories did not throw Him out

No matter how Theresa May spins it

No al, he left because it was the king of Jordan who secured his departure by agreeing to the treaty that he would be given a fair trial without torture. His legal team knew they had nowhere else to go on the appeal front once this had been decided so that's why he got on the plane as no last minute appeal.

Teresa May's legal advisers will have questions to answer as to why they didn't conceive of this scheme earlier, which would have prevented a cost to the taxpayer of £1.7m... Equally the previous government had a few years to come up with this plan as well and it was TM who saw it through to the end, so she has to be given some credit!

Re: Will Abu Qatada ever be kicked out?

It is his human right to be with his family , so now send his whole family back to Jordan so they can be near him . And to Omar Bakri "OK BRING IT ON "

Well some have tried, and some have succeeded. And some will keep trying, rest assured choughed1.

Google 'Failed terrorist attacks on UK'  Then click on the first story. You will find the lists.  Start  from 2005 7 July London bombings.

Read on from there and I think you will agree that's ''BRINGING IT ON''?

But for excellent security and police work they would certainly have brought it on.

There are hundreds of new leads every month in the fight against Islamist terrorism, says Jonathan Evans head of UK's security services.

Re: Will Abu Qatada ever be kicked out?

Man Very Happy nice day.

UPDATE:

The family have left for Jordan.

I wonder if they will still receive their ''hard earned'' benefits?

Can't see that they would have gone without them somehow?

But someone will give us taxpayers more details soon?

Anyway GOOD now she can hide in that anti-social tent as much as she wishes.

So are we safer if he is freed in Jordan than we were when he was in prison in the UK?

Hmmm, well he's not yet free in Jordan as he has another charge to face in September.

No doubt when he was in prison here he was able to make contact with jihadists but he wasn't able to preach his vile sermons.

If he's found not guilty of the second charge in Jordan and freed I think he'll be less of a threat to us here than he will be in Jordan.

As a Shia he's trying to rally his supporters to destroy ISIS. It's unusual in the ME for a Sunni jihadist group to form so I expect he will want to put all his energies into defeating them in Syria and Iraq so that might act as a destraction from the West as his main target.  Maybe someone - as evoman notes - may take not give him a choice...
