No al, he left because it was the king of Jordan who secured his departure by agreeing to the treaty that he would be given a fair trial without torture. His legal team knew they had nowhere else to go on the appeal front once this had been decided so that's why he got on the plane as no last minute appeal.
Teresa May's legal advisers will have questions to answer as to why they didn't conceive of this scheme earlier, which would have prevented a cost to the taxpayer of £1.7m... Equally the previous government had a few years to come up with this plan as well and it was TM who saw it through to the end, so she has to be given some credit!
