Even more stupid and ignorant garbage being uttered by this fool. He should be laughed out of the White House. Sensible Americans must be so embarrassed.

Hydroxychloroquine is a definite no no for anyone with heart arrhythmia.

The drug may have been around for a long time but that doesn't make it safer, it does require frequent supervision by a doctor and it can react adversely with other medications.

To give the impression that it's perfectly safe as Trump did, is positively reckless.

Because I have an atrophic kidney I am limited to what blood pressure medications I can take, it's a seesaw, using certain medication to lower blood pressure also decreases kidney function.

The unbelievable thickness of Trump

Perhaps his 'fans' could swallow a pint of bleach or mainline some Dettol and do the world a favour.

The orange oaf is sooo stupid it was clear last week that he doesn't even know the difference between bacteria and viruses either.

He obviously has advisors so clearly he doesn't listen to the truth.

Ignorance and arrogance is a dangerous combination.  Plenty of that about in all jobs but it's a bit more crucial when it is the so-called leader of the free world.

I see he tweeted how he thought the journalists he didn't like, should have their 'Noble' prizes taken away.

The ignorance is staggering for a president of the USA.

The unbelievable thickness of Trump

Is it ignorance or does he think he is too clever for the mere mortals out here? Whatever it is one thing is for certain he isn’t the first POTUS to take criticism is he? Clinton’s bedroom antics, Obama’s heritage, Nixon’s skullduggery, LBJs warmongering, Bush’s nepotism, Even the Kennedy’s had there problems. I don’t think I have mentioned the top man of them all enter stage right Ronnie Reagan, slathering his way through his unscripted speeches, OMG all things said Trump will be a hard act to follow but we are unlikely to find out any time soon, Joe Biden 😂😂😂

The unbelievable thickness of Trump

Obviously he thinks he is too clever for both scientists and medical experts, ignoring all evidence about climate warming and the uselessness of malarial drugs against covid19, as he brags about taking hydroxychloroquine himself.

What an utterly stupid and selfish piece of work this *bleep* is. This drug is needed by people with rheumatoid arthritis and Lupus and if the other idiots in the US who like Trump follow his stupidity there will be a shortage for people for whom the drug is actually effective.

Trump would be better off taking Vit D and ditching all those revolting hamburgers and fries.

If anyone in this world deserves to get Covid19 or suffer the potentially dangerous side effects of this inappropriate drug use it is that imbecile in the White House.

The unbelievable thickness of Trump

My title was a take on the novel - The Unbelievable Lightness of Being.

Also, to me ignorance implies someone doesn't know something. He has no excuse, he has been told facts, he has experts and advisors around him, but he is so egotistical and stupid (and yes, thick) he either doesn't understand what he is told, or he doesn't listen and thinks he knows better, believing a load of mumbo jumbo.

For the novel I meant the Unbearable lightness, not unbelievable! Trump is unbelievable but personally I could also call him unbearable!

I cannot watch him on the TV, or listen to him on the radio. I can't believe that he will win another term but then I can't believe he got in legitimately last time! Stranger than fiction.

Same here, I cringe each time I see him on the tv, I suspect the situation is similar to the U.K. in that we vote with our hearts not our heads, labour put up an unelectable person in Jeremy Steptoe and now the democrats are guilty of doing the same. So I fear we will get 5 more years, if he lives that long!

The unbelievable thickness of Trump

It is the way he tells blatant lies and gets away with it that gets me.  An example would be his claim that hydroxychloroquine was perfectly safe when its side effects are well known, some of them such as cardiac arrest, being somewhat life changing.

There are a large percentage of people in the US, and I suspect, elsewhere, who are gullible in that all someone like Trump has to do is say what they want to hear and they will support them.

It doesn't have to be true or even make any sense, they will not check any facts assuming they are actaully given any.

Listen to him speak, all he says is everything is great, no detail.

The unbelievable thickness of Trump

I think people are right to be aware of the side effects of some drugs but they affect different people in different ways or not at all.

A personal case in point here. Five years ago I was prescribed Ramipril. I didn't know that a possible side effect of it was a severe cough. After taking it for a few days I developed such a severe cough, I couldn't stop, couldn't sleep. After calling the NHS helpline (in the early hours) I was advised to phone the prescribing hospital. I did and after giving my NHS number the person I was speaking to looked up my records and said "Ramipril, DON'T take any more". So now I take something different.

A couple of weeks later I met a lady in hospital who'd been taking Ramipril for eight years with no problems.

We're a living "animal" but we're a bit like a computer. We're programmed with a genetic code. Mostly we've got the same code but with "minor" differences. We have to have minor differences or we'd all be the same.

Now think of a computer program. You input certain data and get a certain result. Now change that program slightly and most things work just fine. If you put some different data in to the original program code, it produces the desired result. Put that same data in to the altered code and things go haywire.

Hydroxychloroquine will be no different. It may help or cure some people but might have severe consequences for some or might even kill them!

I also take ramipril, my dose has been increasing over time and as far as I am aware I have had no side effects either, If I cough at all I immediately think of coronavirus ? Why, because I have been programmed to. If trump wants to take something and it has no side effects, that’s up to him, his only crime being to encourage others to do likewise, but hey ho he isn’t actually commanding them to do so we all have a choice?
