OK, so "They" say "everything" began with the Big Bang.

Fair enough, it was quite something and happened faster than the blink of an eye?

"They" also say nothing can travel faster than light?

If that's so, how can "They" view light which "began" shortly after the Big Bang?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-19728375

We are "here", they're viewing light from a heck of a long way away, such light will have taken billions of years to get here even at approximately 186,000 miles per second.

So how did we get out "here", so far from that light when it was Starlight so long ago?

OK, were we able to get to the source of that light in an instant, we'd find it was probably no longer there but we are billions of miles from where that light was so how come the matter from which our Solar System was formed got sooooo far away from the Stars they're no "seeing"?

Well I'll just have to disagree with you about what "they" all do.

Who you are referring to in your second sentence I have no idea. But anyway, I thought you might be interested in the 'new' theory I posted. 🙂

In the earliest moments after the Big Bang, "stuff" is supposed to have "expanded" at many times the speed of light but before that, there is supposed to have been the Big Crunch.

Before long we'll have theories about how fast "stuff" came together in the last moments before the Big Bang. Some theories already exits propounding that some Black Holes existed prior to the Big Bang so did they come together forming "something" which, when it reached a microscopic size with unbelievable density caused the Big Bang which then "expanded" at many times the speed of light and at a temperature of trillions of ºK. a temperature at which nothing could bond to form mass?

Hmmmmm, January 1954, Einstein wrote:-

"...The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation, no matter how subtle, can (for me) change this,"

The letter is to be sold on eBay with an opening bid of $3million.

Can you tell me why you have written hmmmm before the rest of your post?

My usage of "Hmmmm" means that I've used it instead of  "Just fancy that. I see, well, I'll have to think about that/this".

OK, that has simplified things! Phew!

In passing I will mention that a similar letter he wrote sold at auction in 2008, for 330,000 American dollars.

Three million dollars seems a bit steep for an opening bid!

Might have been a shrewd buy but seeing that info from such a short time ago and an opening bid of $3million might put off some (all?) buyers?

That said, an item sold at Mentmore Towers for £40,000 was properly researched, identified and described then sold 11 years later for £550,000 so not everything sold at auction realises it's "true" value?

hi CD re #2, how come matter can travel faster than the speed of light?... the answer as they call it " The great expansion". dont ask me how or why they worked that one out, but concider the recent photos from the hubble telescope, in one frame they have caught millions of "early galaxies" formed long before ours. now concider thses galaxies are roughly 13.5 billion light years away, matter must have formed from an early time after the big bang.

The answer to the "How?" is that they just don't know and up to now the theories don't fit or add up so they invent something fresh to cover up the unknown.

The whole principle of scientific theories is to put forward solutions that can then be tested.

Nothing to do with a cover up - or a you suggesting some sort of conspiracy 😉

Oh flippin' 'eck, don't let's start on conspiracy theories?

No, as I said before, they propose theories which is just fine, theorise all you want but....., then they spout off about these theories as fact when they're not.

So can you give an example of where 'they' spout these theories as fact?

Have you read the scientific papers? Or have you just read what the media are reporting on this subject? We all know how the media get things wrong.  I have personally worked on things that the media have reported and it's very clear that they don't read things properly and they put things in their own words for effect.

All that we are is what we have thought.
