So, what gets up your hooter ? What makes your hackles rise, so much so that even just thinking about it, practically induces an apoplectic fit ? Could be anything, a news item, something you encounter in everyday life, drivers/driving, work/housework, public transport, politics/politician, a TV programme, teenagers, a certain commodity or product, a celebrity, mode of dress, a sport, social media sites, mobile phone users, advertising, tattoos, the weather, tin rattlers, technology, bad service, modern architecture, overuse of the word 'amazing', certain music, user manuals, call centres, a neighbour, anything at all that gets you all steamed up.

They say just letting vent on paper has a cathartic effect. Dusty Springfield, when something annoyed her, would buy a bag full of cheap crockery from Woollies, and smash it all individually up against the wall. Now I'm not advocating going to that extreme - anyway Woollies shops are no more - but unbutton your waistcoat, loosen your stays, and just put it all down in typeface on here. You'll feel much better for it. Honest.

Houseflies inflexiblilty to work outside their remit. You try to shoo them out, so you don't have splatter the varmints. But no, they have to go all demarkation dispute on you. They resist all encouragement to go outside. I'm sure all that buzzing is them shouting, "BUT I'M A HOUSEFLY, THIS IS WHAT I DO!!!!!!!!!!"

I would like to register my disgust, shock ,sadness and horror at the destruction by IS of the ancient site at Palmyra, and the horrific murder of the 81 year old scientist who had researched and looked after the site for over 50 years. Absolutely unnecessary. Further words fail me, I feel so sad.

Another thing that really grinds my gears are people who think it's clever to be rude and insulting to complete strangers whilst hiding behind the safety of a posting ID and keyboard.

You know who you are, and in future, before hitting the post button, maybe you should ask yourself this...

"If this person, who I am about to publically abuse, was standing here right in front of me, looking me in the eye, would I still have the cahunas to say this to them?"

If the anwer is no, THEN BLERDY WELL DON'T POST IT ONLINE THEN grrrr!!!!!

Dog owners who DO clean up after their pets....but then chuck the poo-filled bag on the floor.

Lorries who overtake each other on duel carriageways....usually at 55mph vs 56mph over a 10-mile stretch.

Feral pensioners...usually found posting ill-informed xenophobic drivel in forums and the comments section of the Daily Afraid website.

I was going to mention about the postie dropping red rubber bands in the street, but it is a phenonema which seems to have ceased.

Sorry, I'll get my grammar police coat and go. I do miss the rubber bands though, damn useful for all sorts.

Indeed. And railings, fences etc.  At our local park, it looks like some sort of dog poo memorial what with more bags tied to the fence, rather than making it into the poo bin.

After weeks of silence it's back! Kicking and spitting at all whose point of view is out of line with their own. Someone who has more experience and knowledge than others much older and wiser and who reacts by applying the term Feral to their age classification. 

Is it venom that drives the person or is it a learned conviction that they are better placed, better skilled and better informed than all others? There is never any attempt to take on board alternative views or accept the differences individual experiences create. Indeed conflicting views are consistently dismissed as those of the daily afraid or some other part of the biased media. That again suggests that the superior intellect gifted to this person makes them the only one capable of making an informed decision. How utterly patronising that is, how selfish and how condescending. Of course there is ignorance and of course some people are more fearful than others over the changes taking place in our society but why must we be frog marched into solutions by a group of leftward leaning liberals imposing ethics on all while representing a tiny proportion of our population. 

Spout on by all means it brings life to this shopping site but do apply the same rules to those who oppose your views as to those you seek to help.
