How about an RT poll?
No reasons, no argument, no debate just a straightforward IN or OUT.
Me? OUT.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

From the comments I have read on here there is strong support for the UK to exit and instead to become a kind of large parish council, self governing and controlled entirely by nimbyism. We must ethnically cleanse our population and bring down the overall figure. We will trade fully, openly and tariff free with the rest of the world and not be influenced by global trends, next we will see regional independence and instead of one United Kingdom we will have several smaller kingdoms fighting each other, the most disadvantaged of them will apply to and join the EEC, The city of London will become the Cayman Islands of Europe flush with well laundered money.
Part of the Island will change to driving on the right, North of the Lakes the language will be Gaelic,in the West Welsh, South of England will evolve into a new tongue while Europe adopts English. Conspiracy theories will become enshrined in law whereby any person will be able to obtain the personal details of another if they do not agree with their arguments or point of view. As we all know if we don't change and change soon we will be forced to live under Sharia Law under The Ayatollah BooHunter😀

I have to assume you're having a bad day archie, I thought you were above that level of stupid childishness. You can hardly argue that people whose opinion is disagreed with, bully or try to intimidate others.........and then post something like you just did. Everybody will vote, as they are entitled to and if the losers don't like the outcome.......I suggest they go and live somewhere else. That's a proper democracy at work, those uncivilized specimens in this world; that don't understand the true concept of democracy, just kill everybody else who doesn't agree with them. So anybody who wants to go and live with the likes of them, be my guest; you won't be lonely........there's enough of the *$%"&*% to keep an army company.

Is that the synopsis for a new Monty Python film ?

Bad week acherly evo😷
And yes you know from time to time I like to introduce the odd off message response, as you rightly say that is what happens in a Democracy. Yet how many of us agree the need to compromise or really address the problems that affect our lives. May the current debate continue, Boris needs a new job and has one in mind, John Redwood may have to try again learning the Welsh anthem, Corbyn must win back the Scots, all these alliances formed out of self interest and little done in the name of reform. But let us not get sidetracked may the debate continue and may the result be awesome👀
Daffs old mate, Cleese just loved the script😃

As we edge closer to the vote a poll today gives the Brexit campaign a four point lead. This after pollsters fiddle with it by allowing a smaller turnout amongst younger voters. The no campaign seems to be bolstered by the over 55s (no surprise there) this is the group who have the least to gain either way, many are waiting for Gods calling so a no vote won't matter to them. Younger voters keen on integration and the freedom of movement, trade, education etc could in the end be denied simply because we fossils want a return to the days we remember with such fondness. All our yesterdays, deep joy.

On the other hand......If I had a fiver for every "Kid" ( to me that's under 25 ) who thought they knew it all and couldn't be told anything........only to discover after the mother of all ****UP's, that they really didn't know that much at all; let alone truly understand....................I'd be a BILLIONAIRE !!!

Slightly off topic but it is one of several programmes for the pros and woes before the in out vote.Did anyone see the programme during the week on itv on migrant and economic workers how they soposedly turned around the fortunes of the town of Boston.
Migrant workers picking the harvests and opening a couple of kebab houses.
They said as a plus point an A and E that might of closed was now saved and needed more staff from abroad to man the posts, and as a down side the level of crime had gone up- to me both are and extra burden on the economy, since many of the low paid jobs are often propped up by extra benefits and housing , whilst the hospital and extra policing are a direct cost to the economy, as well as keeping wages artificially low.

Is the figure of 270,000 net or actual - if net then the difference between EU 'arrivals' and NI numbers issued is easily explained.

There's a myriad of reasons why I'll be voting to leave, immigration ( all be it an ever escalating problem ) only being one of many reasons. History is another and has proved that a Leopard never changes its spots.......the saying "gone but not forgotten" might be worth baring in mind for many. The way the EU has morphed into what it has become, away from the original concept, is yet another reason.......it smacks of somebody telling me one thing and doing another......and I don't take kindly to being taken for a "MUG".......by ANYBODY.

You are right, both sides of the equation need to be taken into account when calculating any benefit of immigration.
Difficult to assess though when it comes to that particular A&E - how do you calculate the cost difference between an A&E being closed down and one employing additional staff - is the cost really just monetary?

if an A and E closes anywhere, the cost may not just be monetary, but then there is the argument that the cost may be taken from elsewhere with the same consequential result.
I would like thousands more defibs for emergencies, or certain drugs more freely available some that can actualy save lives, but we all know its not a bottomless pit of money,
Though not ideal, i think i would like to see some lags working out there picking the veg, earning some money for when they are released, and may give them a bit of a headstart instead of the fast majority re offending.
That particular programme seemed to bias to pro immigration, yet the argument for, was in my eyes pitiful.

Was interesting how asylum seekers and such were sent to the poorest parts of the country where housing was cheapest, and probably caused most resentment because there were very few jobs to begin with.
03-04-2016 8:31 PM
I think we've been here before, (red doors). We have this awful system where the welfare, (housing, information services, social advice etc.), of asylum seekers is handed oover to private companies, such as G4S.
They don't care about the social impact of placing asylum seekers in clusters or whether or not the services and employment opportunities in a particular area can cope - monetary cost is their prime directive. So towns like Middlesborough, where housing is cheap for instance, will get far more than their fair share of asylum seekers despite job opportunities being far lower than in say the South East.
This policy rightly causes resentment in areas where services such as hospitals and schools are already under pressure and is not helping the asylum seekers either.

If by any chance Dodgy Dave's proaganda leaflet - at a cost of £9m to the taxpayer - finds it's way through my letter box, it will be sent back by R.O.P to Number 10, and suggest other Brexits do the same. Bury him under an avalanche of his own hollow rhetoric.

I'll be voting to stay, but i agree in times of "austerity" for some,£9 million is a waste of money on government propaganda, next thing you know just before the next election we will be getting leaflets saying how well the government has done in clearing up "Labours mess"
Seems there's still a bit of cash floating around:
Samantha Cameron has hired a £53,000 aide to help keep her fashionable using taxpayer's money, it's been reported.
The Prime Minister's wife is said to have recruited former model Rosie Lyburn to organise her designer wardrobe and social diary.
The 28-year-old is apparently Ms Cameron’s official “special adviser”,

Good job we;re all in it togeher isn't it?

Why are we discussing individuals when this is about whether we remain united with other euopean countries. Whatever Camerons father did, he had no influence over it. We need more facts in order to make an informed decision rather than the usual Little Englander logic which prevails on here. And one other interesting point about immigration which most claim to be a direct result of being in Europe, How come so many of the so called Syrian refugees actually come from Pakistan or Nigeria. The majority who have arrived from Eastern Europe that was are employed, payng National insurance and tax, every developed country in the world needs labour which will undertake the kind of work the local workforce refuse to do.
