Now this is the best Joke yet..

Jump off here for the UK: Looking like Casper the Ghost, migrants smuggled here inside a flour tanker... only to be set free by border officials and told how to claim asylum
Nine suspected illegal immigrants emerge from their hiding place - from lorry on the M26Four are seeking asylum - and are expected to begin to claim benefitsThe German lorry had entered from France

Covered in flour, they clamber from a foreign lorry – to the amazement of other motorists on a busy motorway.

This is the moment that at least nine suspected illegal immigrants emerged from their hiding place after smuggling themselves into the UK.

The gang brazenly strolled off into the English countryside. And although all were caught within minutes, almost half were immediately set free. They were even taken to a hostel, given free accommodation and told how to apply for asylum and benefits.

Ah, the demonization of one group, to supposedly defend another. Splendid!

Re: Now this is the best Joke yet..

I posted "If some of our unemployed put just one tenth of the effort . . . . . .. . . "  - nothing to do with immigrants and their children working harder than people in the UK.

One of your frequent, banal, and irrelevant comparisons of bananas and apples. If ifs and ands were pots and pans. . . .

Where are these "frequent" attacks I make on the unemployed ?:|

Talk about being in denial. TWO on this thread for starters! I haven't got the stomach or the desire to sift through your myriad of jejune posts for more attacks on the unempoyed.

You posted, "With your frequent attacks on the UK's unemployed insinuating that some were workshy-waste-of-spaces"

Are you really claiming that SOME of the UK's unemployed aren't 'workshy-waste-of-spaces'"!

I don't know of any in person, do you? So I will leave the nasty swipes and attacks to you!

Anyhow, it's your second attack on the unemployed on one thread! Attacking one group to defend another, not really cricket, is it?

But do feel free to post a THIRD attack on the unemployed, especially if you know of someone(s) whom are workshy-waste-of-spaces!

Re: Now this is the best Joke yet..

I will hold my hands up and say it was me whom used the word spongers, more as a point of name calling used by the press to describe our benefit poor claimants or lower classes as the middle like to call us 🙂

No one suggested these new occupants to our fine land were but they did say in link they were entitled to benefits starting at 36 quid...hence in some quarters they are now spongers .

Personally on this story ,I feel there must have been a good reason to let some stay and some not, obviously a genuine air about some of them.

It isn't a butlins holiday travelling in a flour truck and 36 quid isn't a lot ..would I do it unless I was desperate....no chance and thats the key.Saying this the wording of how they were found was very national paper wasn't it,words like

As they wait to pounce!   Not all together though you give the GAME away;-)

I see that I have two new friends.  bloggs, and bookhunter :^O:^O.

Neighbors?  Mr bloggs. Is that an insult to my neighbours, or an unfortunate spelling mistake? And there was room for you not to edit my post. The other two are pretty good at that.

Creeky, bloggs, and bookhunter - yes I have seen you three together before. Mostly when one of you has been cornered.

That's a  HIDEOUS smile bookhunter.  And I'm sure you, and the other two will have more to say, so enjoy. (YAWN).

Is this the British RT?  Feels Foreign to me.

I think there is only one person in denial here B-)

To try and make out that amongst the millions of unemployed there aren't SOME who are "workshy-waste-of-spaces", (your description), is to live in cloud cuckoo land.

Re: Now this is the best Joke yet..

Contrast yields perspective!  It is not that the inhabitants of your country lack motivation or appreciation of their great country; it is simply that,  having been subjected to incredibly harsh and difficult conditions, that when released, others develop a heightened appreciation because of it.

In short, working a fourteen hour shift in a very loud and noisy locomotive factory will give one a deeper appreciation for peace and quiet than they might otherwise have.

Here in the States, for instance, most of us have a desperate appreciation for decent television (which we never see), and your BBC is like a God to us!!!

Re: Now this is the best Joke yet..

There are some who don't  like certain elements which are foreign. The odd few who don't like certain elements which are indigenous. A sort of negative of the former if you like, and not  much different except for which of their fake hobgoblins sits atop the podium since that appears to be the main aim of both.
Talk of exceptions like they were the rule, is all part of the fakery.

As far as the BBC goes, well some believe  it's been taken over by a socialist communist marxist plot along with the police, judiciary and countdown since vorderman left. There must be a run on tin foil in certain areas.

Ed Murrow was was offered the position of joint Director General  of the BBC during the war, before he returned home.
