Whether or not it was a lengthy sentence could depend on what a person thinks about theft.
Obviously that particular character didn't take it seriously.

Bankers/Traders get less for crimes worth £billions
and I'd be asking the prosecution to prove, that anyone who downloaded/watched the film, would have definately went to a cinema to watch it or would have bought the DVD. In my apperal

Some people here don't seem to take such crime very seriously which is precisely why we need tough measures to change attitudes!!!

How damaging are vioolent crimes though ?
Who is impacted apart from them doing the fighting ?
If you commit Armed robbery you should get 5 years minimum
But a couple of druggies fighting over a tenner ?
The chap copying the film was doing damge to the Film indusrty , which employs thousand sof peopel in the UK
if they cant make a profit , or are run to a loss , then that affects society massively
The sentence is meant to deter ,.

Then it is the sentence for the sexual assualt theat is questionable!
BTW there is no suggestion in that report that the man is a paedophile, you shouldn't need to use hype to make a point!
