Isn't technology wonderful? ... Or is it me?

On the one hand I have a Mac Mini computer wired up to a 70"plasma screen and controlled from across the room by a wireless keyboard and mouse. All in full working order. On the other hand, and mostly for use on days when I am confined to my bed, I have a cheap Samsung Galaxy Note tablet type of gizmo.

OK, so what's the problem, Steve?

Well, with the main computer, with all the latest updates, if I buy something, say maybe an e-book, I then go into Paypal to pay for it. All the details are already pre-installed and the only bit that I need to fill in is my password. I am now logged in and I can pay for my book. But if I then carry on looking at the list of e-books and find another one that I want and click on the "Buy Now" option, I have to sign in to Paypal all over again and type in my very long and complicated password.

The good news is that if I do the exact same thing on this tablet, I find that when I click on the "Buy Now" button on the second book I get a new page on-screen to confirm the delivery address and that I am still logged in on Paypal. Then, when I click to confirm, I get a message saying something like, "Congratulations. You have now bought this item."

My guess is that it isn't the technology that's at fault here. It's much more likely to be my fault and I have made a boo boo when configuring the Paypal settings. So could some kind person tell me what I need to do on the Mac to make it work in the same way that the tablet does when buying stuff and paying with Paypal?

Many thanks,

Steve

Just a suggestion Steve, but don't go into Paypal until you have finished your

shopping. Then you pay for everything together.:_|

Not quite that easy, Clifford. I never intentionally buy one, pay for it and then go looking for more bargains.

It could be that Paypal is "timing out" before you make your 2nd purchase. Banks don't generally give you much time to do stuff on line so Paypal probably operates on that same principal. Alternatively you could work with two browers, say Safari and Firefox with 2 sets of windows for each and just see what happens.
