(John 15:10; Acts 1:8) Jesus commanded only a relatively small number of his followers—those to whom he appeared after his resurrection—to preach. (Acts 10:40-42; 1 Cor. 15:6) But all his faithful first-century disciples recognized that the command applied to them, even if they had not personally heard Jesus speak. (Acts 8:4; 1 Pet. 1:8) Likewise today, Jesus has not personally spoken to any of the eight million active Kingdom preachers. Some time (usually) after birth comes death. Barring accidents or major health problems, it comes naturally in old age.

Now, tell me if it's gods will that two neutron stars  collide and send out a gamma ray burst which just happens to hit the Earth causing, depending on the size of the stars either the elimination of our ozone layer which allows our own star, the Sun to fry the Earth or if the two neutron stars are big enough, the gamma ray burst kills all life on the Earth in an instant. Now why would god do that? (You can forget ours is not to reason why)

I do notice bank, although you kindly add links etc,. You never like to show yourself ever to accept an underlying gently and kind reasoning on a certain statement or what you like to call a fact. You very often omit important additions or continuations to a sentence or statement.

I notice the husband talked about in the first point you are trying to make there was in fact helped to change his ways by the loving wife not giving up on the marriage.  Yes she could report that her husband was mistreating her and she felt hurt by it.  I  blame was not being put on to the wife, she was just being given council and help on how she might turn things around.

We are taught that by our good loving conduct towards our husbands we maybe able to win them without a word.

We are not either being classed as inferior to the male/husband, we were made as the weaker vessel as it were in physical strength and of a more sensitive nature, we are never classed as non equal.  The requirement of headship has a deeper meaning not just the man bring superior. If you really knew the Bible bank you would have no difficulty in understanding that because it is quite clearly stated. The arrangement of headship has a perfectly good and reasonable reason behind it.

It carried the implication that the husband's behaviour was due to the wife's lack of showing love despite the fact that it was that behaviour that caused it in the first place.

It is a simple fact that abusive partners very seldom change their ways and so suggesting that the wife only has to be more loving would work, is not good advice, especially after violence was involved.

One of the reasons why someone stays with an abusive partner is the hope they will change their ways, unfortunately the large majority who do that are sorely disappointed.

Quite frankly though, I think the story was a pure invention.

The arrangement of headship has a perfectly good and reasonable reason behind it.

Not one that a believer in equality would recogtnise.

I am astro,. I was able to get to see her this evening and held her, such a great feeling.

What with my twin girls who are now 5 years and their 2 brothers I am such a blessed grandma.

We view all our children as gifts from God you know.  I am certainly a very grateful grandma.
