'Er indoors wants a new dog.

So I'm open to suggestions.

All that I know for sure is that this new doggie needs to follow these rules.

It needs to be a puppy at around 9 to 12 weeks.

It needs to be complete with all Vet's bills, wormed, etc.

It needs to be a **bleep** so no marking it's territory with urinating all over the place.

It needs to be a small type of dog that grows up to be the size of a Westie.

So there you go. All types of dogs looked at if they fall into those categories.

Last but not least, must cost less than £500.

Ta very much for any suggestions.

Steve. xxx for the ladies.

Stevie ......gruff handshake for the lads

Well... ask her please Steve, and report back promptlySmiley Wink. Before Christmas if you can?... I might have som suitable poetry  Smiley Wink

I couldn't find a picture of Boatswain, but here is a painting of him with the rescued child. Apparently newfoundlands are magnicent swimmers and were often used at sea rescues. Well ''Boatswain'' is the clue.

 Byron wrote on Boatswain's monument:

' Near to this spot are deposited the Remains of one who possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strengh without Insolence,

Courage without Ferocity, and all the virtues of Man without his Vices.

This praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery if inscribed over human Ashes,  is but just tribute to the Memory of Boatswain, a Dog who was born in Newfoundland May 1803 and died Newstead Nov. 18th 1808.'

Re: 'Er indoors wants a new dog.

Newfies are certainly very good swimmers, In fact i believe that they are used as rescue dogs for when folk get in trouble in the water.

The dogs name is definately Sophie and will be named from a woman in a book that 'er iindoors is reading about. She'smad like that, lol.

It's a nice name though.

Cheers,

Stevie
