'Er indoors wants a new dog.

So I'm open to suggestions.

All that I know for sure is that this new doggie needs to follow these rules.

It needs to be a puppy at around 9 to 12 weeks.

It needs to be complete with all Vet's bills, wormed, etc.

It needs to be a **bleep** so no marking it's territory with urinating all over the place.

It needs to be a small type of dog that grows up to be the size of a Westie.

So there you go. All types of dogs looked at if they fall into those categories.

Last but not least, must cost less than £500.

Ta very much for any suggestions.

Steve. xxx for the ladies.

Stevie ......gruff handshake for the lads

Marge .... we both know how difficult thet can all get for a 64 year old,. The trick is to keep your ears and eyes open 99% percent of he tiime.

Tommy ..... The snag isn't walking about. The thing is my legs are fine, its my back that's kerry-packered. I have a walking frame that makes live easier and quite often I nip over to the hospital and run laps all around the third  floor. The good bit is that the ground is flat with no bad bits to walk over. I love running round on that.

ps ..... I've just had a look round the post that I did in the early hours of this morning and I've decided that typing text on a dark keyboard in a darkened room isn't really the best way to go about it all. lol

Look on the bright side Steve.

If things don't work out with the new puppy, you can always get Elliot to flog it for you.   laugh_zpsbc9f7645.gif

Yes, Tommy, I enjoy the humour.

But have you the story on this dog?  Great Danes unfortunately live on average a worth while life for about 5 years. So was it a freak happening?  Or what I suspect planned over the years?  If it was to hell with them.

Some would think it outrageous that breeding them for that size is cruel. So do I.

I doubt that wonderful dog will be enjoying a worthwhile life for even 5 years.

So breeding them down to a sensible size...so they can have a reasonable life span would be the right thing IMO.

Then some human beings are just using them. I wont believe other wise. How cruel to breed dog's to suffer because of their size.

See you.

Thank you.

And WOW 8 YEARS.   I did say worth while life, and age can be very much more of a struggle for big dogs.

Right then. The trip down to the local RSPCA didn't work out well at all. Lovely dogs but nothing the boss was keen on. After checking, she's decided on either a Shih Tzu or a Lhasa Apso. Both bonny dogs

Keep looking I guess.

Good luck.

Lord Byron's dogs. By Nick Hugh McCaan (1992)   (slightly edited, but that should do)

As Byron prepared to set out for Greece in 1823, he was presented with a young Newfoudland. He called Boatswain, Byron was delighted, promising 'never to part with him for any consideration' Boatswain was at his side throughout his ill-fated Greek adventure, returning to London with the poet's coffin. Byron loved his dogs very much the poet suggesting 'The companionship of a dog seemed to him almost as necessary as a hat or a stick'. A man was not complete without a dog and a dog was not complete without a man; said Byron. Any real dog lover I'm sure woul feel the same. Can't immagine what could have replaced them if they never had existed. And if they are not in the hear- after I  for one do dispair!

That white circular  monument just up to the left of the centre tree in Byron's garden is where Boatswain,

was buried. And it is bigger than Byron's own monument. I have a picture of Boatswain somewhere I will

post it when and if I find it.

.YAY we got one!!

We finally found a Shih Tzu that the Boss Lady liked so we went out an had a look at her today. I must admit she's a lovely dog and not ready until Sept 2nd. The Mum is 10 inches tall and the dad is a bit smaller. She's all white with just a tiny bit of black across the back of her eyes.

I'll put some pictures up when I suss out how to do it, lol

Cheers,

Stevie

Our dog in the images is the right hand image of those 2 dogs in the middle.

If somebody would be kind enough to post them up.

Maybe this link will make up for the dopey moment that I made earlier.

I'd still love somebody to change it into a picture if possible, pretty please with a cherry on top.
