I don't think that I'm pedantic as such. It's just that I see the way that people make errors when typing out a message and it is obviously not a typo and it makes me cringe. Mostly because I'd be scared of making a similar kind of mistake myself and have readers thing that I'm an **bleep**.
The simplest kind of errors made on this forum are when folk say "their" when they mean "there". When people get those mixed up it says to me that the person is lazy and just can't be bothered to make sure that they are using the correct word. It also shows me that they don't care that other folk think of them as fools.
I mean, how hard can it be to get it right?

Very hard if the person is dyslexic. I do know what you mean though. It's a sign of the times sadly.

And some people get their "g" and "k" mixed up
I don`t get out much either

Exactly Hot Bush .... (Is that the ID you meant?)
We all make mistakes and I won't shie away from the fact that I make them too
BTW .... I didn't write the word "**BLEEP**" ... That was down to eBay changing the original word which must have started with a vowel.

Sign of the times? Not necessarily a problem restricted to the young as I've seen plenty of prime examples from posters I know are from the older generation! My bugbear is "should of" and "could of", they drive me nuts!

One of the worst examples of the way we humans speak the English language is shown by the Magician, Dynamo. The way that he just obliterates the language is unreal. Things like, "I fink" instead of "I think" and "I fought" rather than, "I thought"
It's nothing but laziness.
