Bullies?

I've been wondering what opinions others might have about bullies and if they're similar or in opposition to mine?

I've found that bullies keep on bullying until someone strikes back and if it's a significant strike, the bullies squeal like a stuck pig and complain they're hard done by. They seem to pick on a soft, weak target and are often mob handed.

What have you found?

Of course.... my thoughts were prompted by the recent US strike on that Iranian general. I'm expecting the Iranian response will be an act of terrorism against innocent people. Your thoughts?

Re: Bullies?

It depends who you see as the bully, the USA for its continual sabre rattling or the Iranians who publicly hang gays!
Ever since Trump became president there have been so many comments about his ability to govern, many are justified but only a few weeks ago we were facing the prospect of a Corbyn led government, at least we seem to have seen sense! But then we have Boris who encapsulates so many of the traits many on the left despise, So I don’t know what is right or wrong.
I remember my first encounter of Iranians who during the 70s were trained at HMS Ganges near Harwich, I never warmed to them as a creed, they were very sensitive and emotional and always had a desire of western thing’s whilst shouldering a suspicion of non believers, they are a proud people even when they have nothing to be proud of, you only have to look at the way they have locked up a british Iranian woman for spying which she clearly was not doing to understand their ways! To meatless they are an unstable bunch who are trying to destabilise the whole of the Middle East as indeed are the Americans and British in their eyes! I don’t know who the bully is in this case however I do know the type of country I would prefer to live in!

Re: Bullies?

Well I see Iran as the bully for many reasons.

One is that they kill (by beheading) defenceless people who are unable to recite a verse that they see as "important".

Then, they are absolutely hell bent on attempting to convert the whole world to their idiotic beliefs.

Next, they pick on some fool to go someplace and detonate the explosives they've packed round him/her thereby killing not only the fool (they call a martyr who they've convinced will go the Paradise) but lots of totally innocent people.

Another is that as far as they're concerned, everyone is equal, except that in the hierachy, they are more equal than the rest.

I could go on but tea time is fast approaching.......

Re: Bullies?

Im not aware of the details of the acount of this latest incident regarding the US strikes so my comment are more for an overal view on bullies.

I have on a personal level felt the need to confront bullies on several occasions, I have found striking back has worked and also hasnt worked, so in my opinion there are many types of bullies in many different life situations and each has to be dealt with on an idividual basis.

What I have noticed though is what one may judge to be bullying another may not.

Where politics is involved I stay neutral. Its not my place to judge.

Bullies made them the man I am today and I’d be sad to see them go. I encountered many bullies as a kid; individuals, groups, male and female. One thing I appreciate is that I also had some good friends so that certainly helped but when you face adversity and come through in tact it builds character and mental strength. Avoiding all different produces pussies; you need to face tougher times to toughen up!

Well I messed that one up so here it is written properly:

Re: Bullies?

I don't think it'd be a good idea to say that to the people suffering from bullies or those of a depressive ilk.

Re: Bullies?

I was going to show a video of a girl being bullied 'toughened up' by a number of others but I think the moderators would not be happy.

However they are easy enough to find.
