Never in a way you brexiters thought it would. All the chamelons have been exposed, tight majority vote.Country and goverment in chaos.
It's the money men that will decide as always! What made you think they'd let the people decide-never have done in centuries!

PMSL..that's a change from LOL. đ
I'm all for keeping the Union intact, but only if all parties want that. If you Scots want to leave then we should wave you bye bye. But you can't do that until the majority wants it..democracy? Then you can take your orders from the Brussels elite instead.

Can you please define who you believe to be elites? Do you believe that anyone in power is elitist or just those who have been privately educated and or earn far above the minimum wage?
My reason for asking is that we hear the term elite used a lot by those on the left of the political spectrum who also seem to suggest that anyone who disagrees with them is fascist, or a bigot or misogynistic, So what is their grice and is a truly egalitarian state actually achievable?
Yes,the term "elite" seems to be used regularly by the like of Farage, boris johnson and tommy robinson, mind you i wouldn't describe them being of the left, probably more like misogynists, bigots and somewhat fascist

Maybe you should ask astrologica what he/she meant about elites as it was his/her comment that suggested the EU are elites?
I was asking what's the difference between Westminster as apposed to EU elites.
You can't have it both ways old champion or maybe you can if you want to push a certain kind of agenda.
Whether a truly equalitarianism state is achievable i don't know but the political philosophy or school of thought is a nice idea. But don't let the elites hear you thinking or saying that now !

Those at the top of the hierarchy in that glorious club..the EU..seem to consider themselves, and behave like an elite. They are hopelessly out of touch with the ordinary people. The very same can be said about those at the top of the hierarchy in the present government in the U.K. This is the puzzling thing about the Scots wanting independence. They would not be ruled by Westminster any more, but if they still want to belong to the EU, then they will be ruled by those bureaucrats in Brussels.

And you're stating this wonderful theory of yours to me- why?

"They would not be ruled by Westminster any more, but if they still want to belong to the EU"
So you're admitting now Westminster rules Scotland! What happened to the equal partnership and the Act Of Union?

Both Scotland and Wales are more or less dependant on what Westminster decides to give us. But the majority in Wales would far rather we get our crumbs from Westminster than from Brussels!đ

I see Mays Ministers are out talking to other parties about a second Referendum
Brexit is dead - lets celebrate
One of the reasons I want to remain in the EU, is to curtail the power of Tories to hammer the Working classes, the poor, sick and disabled even more than they have done in the last 9 years all over the UK
Be ruled by the faceless men behind the Tories or the faceless denizens of the EU
I'll take the EU, they have way more compassion for the needy than the Nasty party in Government at Westminster
-----------------
Plus a very messy Brexit will only empower the failed administration in Holyrood
We are in a bad enough state up here at the moment without, being ruled by these failures in an Independent Scotland - worse case scenario, is that Independence would be 8 times worse than Brexit

OMG! Did you make that comment with a straight face?
