"item no longer available" for all shopping basket items

EBay has been buggy recently, not letting me login, search only returning 160 items (unless I select best match), not being able to select items to watch. Today "item no longer available" for all shopping basket items I tried to purchase. Open the listing, do a buy it now, no problem.

Could be the new version of firefox, adblock plus, duckduckgo privacy essentials or Proton VPN causing the issues.

Anyone else found the same glitch. PC, Windows 10 64bit pro.

VPNs can definitely cause all sorts of sign-in or verification-related issues. Privacy software can also cause problems. Try going without those, restart your device and see if things work better.

I use Firefox on a Windows 10 machine and do not have problems signing in or checking out.

Trying another browser should help to rule out issues with Firefox itself; you can run into problems by blocking scripts or blocking tracking on sign-in pages or verification pages.

Avoid using "Price plus shipping: lowest first" sort order and that 160 result problem will go away. If you must sort by price, use "highest first" along with a price range to limit the number of results, then scroll to the end of your results and work your way up. This also neatly avoids all the variation listings with a price range where one cheap item is thrown in to put the item at the top of the "lowest first" sort order, since those will now sort by the highest price in the ranger rather than the lowest.

Leaving items in your cart for an extended period can cause issues. Often, one seller will go on vacation, causing error messages at checkout for any cart item. For best results, leave your cart empty until you are ready to actually check out and pay.

I have not had call to test the 'no longer available' issue but I have disabled duckduckgo privacy essentials, and I will get back to you later

A search for 'triumph ignition switch' in motorcycle and scooter parts with firefox-

lowest and P&P 160 results - no option to see all results

highest and P&P 335 results

Highest and lowest prices without P&P are not available.

The conclusion indicates 'best match' adds in 'AI added' irrelevant items and Highest and P&P removes items for no reason, giving the option to see all the results in Opera, but not in firefox.

Going forward, get rid of the useless AI suggestions, and show ALL results, as the users are intelligent enough to filter the items they want to see, without nanny ebay doing it for us.
