"Your package is now with..." messages arriving days late

I have recently bought a few items on ebay from different sellers. They were all delivered quickly and I left feedback.

In each case, I have received ebay emails saying "Your package is now with its postal courier" or "Your package is now with Royal Mail", several days (one was a week) after the items were delivered.

Is this problem widespread?

It really beggars belief how ebay's sytems have gradually fallen to pieces over the last couple of years. I wonder if they are using the same AI to design their software as the one that generates the laughably inaccurate and misleading descriptions on unsuspecting sellers' lisings?

The link between Ebay and Royal Mail has been broken since 6th October and it is only recently that Ebay have got some sort of grip on it and it is (sort of) fixed now. Ebay are now playing catch up and sellers have only recently started to have their items updated to show delivered. Obviously there are a lot to get through and it looks like, what you are getting, are the notifications that should have been issued at the time, but have only recently been updated.
