eBay keeps requesting password nearly every time I click on something!

This has been happening all day, and it's infuriating - I just wondered if anyone else is having similar issues.

I'm trying to navigate around my selling pages, but nearly every time I click on an option eBay signs me out and takes me to the log-in screen (usually the password entry page, but sometimes the username/email address entry page as well). It's incredibly frustrating, and I am concerned that all of these log-ins within a short space of time (often requiring SMS/email verification with the 6-digit code) look suspicious to eBay - even though the issue seems to be with them.

I've completely cleared my cookies and cache, but that hasn't helped.

The problem is preventing me from accessing some pages completely, as when I am forced out, and have to log back in, I end up back on the page containing the option I selected, rather than the page linked to. I hope that makes sense.

This issue is making eBay unusable to all intents and purposes.

I've just made a sale while typing this, too, so I'm anticipating problems fulfilling that.

Just to add, this is on the desktop site, running in Firefox. I haven't yet checked the mobile site, but I tend not to use that as much, specially when it comes to selling, as it seems to have fewer features than the desktop version.

If anyone else is having similar problems, or has any suggestions, I'd be grateful to hear from you.

It's a relief that it's not just me, and a serious problem for selling, I will try the advice given in later message - hopefully that works for us !

I tried it and it put me in the sign in loop again, I didn't go through app, very frustrating!

Thanks Glowbird, this worked for me but sometimes I have to do it twice because when I click on the bubble it takes me to the ebay.com sign in window again but I just press to go back and try again then it lets me sell without signing in.

Log out of eBay and turn off your computer. Empty caches.

Turn it back on again and log on to eBay.co.uk

Then start your listings from fresh if you are making them. Do not be tempted to click on another listing first and click on ‘“Have One to sell’ or Sell Similar, or you will end up on the incorrect site again.

That is the main reason 99% of the time why this happens.

I'm having the same problem as you, like you say it is so annoying. Have you managed to get yours sorted if so let me know how you did it.

Hi, I'm moving soon, so things are rather chaotic, and my eBay activity has had to go on even more of a backburner than it already was! I've been on the site a bit, and I'd say that the problem doesn't seem to be as bad as it was, but I still have to verify myself more often than I should. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

Hi, yes, i am on a pc and this happens constantly now, ever since they tried to make us use the "one step" sign in, which can't be used on a pc anyway-
