Whjy has E-bay stolen 2000 nectar points from my Sainsbury's account?

Why has E-bay stolen 2000 points from my Sainsbury's account. When I contacted Nectar they said they would look into it and sent me a new card which they said they would put my Nectar points on. The points stolen were worth £10 and I also had another £13 + on the card. When the new card arrived there were no points on it at all.

Hi @glorimarle_2 ,
Nectar is no longer in use on eBay since the 1st of September. Any points would be available on the Nectar account side. If they have sent you out a new card it can take time for points to go on. It would be best to reach out to Nectar help to have them check the details.

I have been in contact with Nectar on 2 or 3 chats, spent a long time
trying to make them understand and got nowhere. They sent me a new card
and said they would sort it with E-bay and transfer the remaining other
points (2900)which were on my old card. When I got the card they had not
transferred any points at all, so I got in touch again and wasted most of
the afternoon, then they eventually agreed to transfer points from old card
within 48 hrs, but they said the 2000 points that E-bay took,I would have
to sort with E-bay but I couldn’t even find my account so I just gave up.
I am annoyed because the 2000 points that E-bay took were from my
Sainsbury’s account, nothing to do with E-bay.
I’ll just have to accept that I have lost £10 worth of points that I would
have spent in Sainsburt’s and make sure I don’t get caught again.

Don't lose hope, some Customer Service agents don't always ' get it right' , and it may just be a matter of time, waiting for those points to be credited.
However, one more thing. When you say they sent you a ' New Card', was this a replacement card so it's the same card account, if not, and it is a new card, you're starting from scratch with that.
Ensure if you still have the old card , that the account number is the same.

Nectar sent me a new card with a different number, They cancelled the old
card and have promised to transfer points from the old card on to the new
one within 48 hours, that was 24 hours ago. Hopefully they will honour
their promise, otherwise ………?
