I have recently tried to bid on several items and I get the following message when enter a bid:
! Attention Buyer
Unfortunately, this item isn’t available for purchase in your location. {e265116-1250494x}
I have been buying/selling for years and have now missed some items that I would have bought.
I have checked my account setting and they seem to be correct.
Thanks for any advice/support that you can offer.

Hopefully you understood my response on the linked thread.
For anyone else:
For Guernsey deliveries, the seller needs to specify a Europe or Worldwide postage rate. The UK Simple Delivery rate doesn't appear to work. (As Guernsey isn't UK.)
And they need to ensure they don't have Guernsey in their blocked destinations.

Concise and to the point, thanks very much.
I wonder if sellers see Europe and panic ?.
Anyways, worth a try next time 👍

Right, so are you able to contact the seller(s) to advise them of what has changed? They would have been able to have sold to the UK before given they are based there. I'm not alone with experiencing problems, and would have bought several items had your site been functioning correctly and/or restrictions not in place.

Is it anything to do with the buyer's location, as per the error message given? thanks
I'm not asking for the full explanation, just whether the error message is accurate.

Thanks for your reply, a_christo.
Because it was related to the seller's listing settings, this wouldn't be considered an issue, and contacting the seller on this is not possible. If the seller would like further assistance on this, they will need to contact us themselves directly.
Thank you,
Marco

Thanks for your reply, xyz307xyz.
In this particular case, the issue is not related to the buyer, but to the seller's listing settings, which is why they'd get the error in question.
Thank you,
Marco

Are you able to Contact Seller/Ask a question?
You could try explaining
-you get an error when trying to buy, (probably best not to mention the actual message as it appears to be nothing to do with location),
-you're a great person with great feedback (in your own words)
and ask them if they are happy to sell to you, they could try adding you to the Buyer requirements exemption list: https://www.ebay.co.uk/bmgt/ExemptBuyers
Even if they do that, there's no guarantee that will work - as we don't know what the actual reason is.
Or try asking friends or family to try buying it for your birthday.
