I have recently tried to bid on several items and I get the following message when enter a bid:
! Attention Buyer
Unfortunately, this item isn’t available for purchase in your location. {e265116-1250494x}
I have been buying/selling for years and have now missed some items that I would have bought.
I have checked my account setting and they seem to be correct.
Thanks for any advice/support that you can offer.

Not relevant in my case, the attempt to buy any item in that category results in the issue.

If the Seller has used the 10 day block, your bid will not be accepted unless Seller removes that setting >

It's not a specific listing generating the issue, an attempt to buy anything in the categories listed (across multiple devices) gives the issue. So unrelated to any day 10 block.

Thanks for your reply, a_christo.
I've just reported this for you, once I get further updates on this, I will post back here to let you know. 👍
Thank you,
Marco

As a buyer - why can you not see if a seller has actioned these restrictions upon your account whilst wasting time browsing ?

Thanks Marco

I wondered if there was any update from eBay as to this specific issue some of us are having with some items listed for sale in the UK but that we are unable to make offers on or purchase? Note it isn't all items, I managed to buy a different item.

Hi a_christo, thanks for your reply.
I haven't had any updates so far on this, this kind of cases could take a bit longer, as replicating the issue is not that simple considering that there are no orders placed. However, as soon as I get an update, I will let you know.
Thank you,
Marco

I~ am getting the same issue of trying to buy a microwave when based in London from a UK seller and ut gives me the same error message. I can buy other things from other categories but not Siemens items. IE I can buy a microwave from any other brand but not siemens from any seller. This is a bizarre bug in the system.

Funnily enough I have been attempting to buy Siemens PLC related kit... I wonder if some of it has been sanctioned by eBay?

That would actually make some sense given what has been going on in some parts of the world recently and historically for example Stuxnet... and Siemens equipment and what was being targetted. A strange co-incidence but entirely feasible to be blocking that manufacturer of a lot of industrial/control type equipment.

Your not alone with this service failure, I too am suffering this maddening issue just another case of corporate 'en*bleep*iffication'
On numerous items I can't bid or even buy-it- now, just getting the "Unfortunately, this item isn’t available for purchase in your location.{e274751-1260494x}" when sellers and myself are in the same country, its preposterous.
I raised a case over 96 hours ago, and no one responsible/'support' are comunicating.
Have lost out on winning, even just buying some tech items of £££s, a totally miserable and frustrating experience, dare I say service/user disrespectful, useless as a buyer-seller service!
It wouldn't be so bad if Ebay had its minions actually recognise and communicate on the issue would it.
Perhaps they're hoping we'll just leave?

Only a thought; but worth checking --- If either the Buyer / Seller (or both) Registration was initially setup outside the UK (eg.com. EU sites) and used on the UK site--- despite any account changes made to UK Address locations etc. since then, the Default location rules will remain in the Registered Host site.
It is no longer possible to transfer/change Original account registration or history between eBay sites.

Hi, thank for the suggestion, but the items from searches are own/UK country only, and the business that I've to buy it now from are UK registerd and are not 'new' sellers, quite established. Its simply wierd and whats, worse is the 'black hole' of ebay support.
One of the worst things is not hearing anything from 'support', despite being able to prise a actuall ticket ref from the help desk and 2 chase up calls. Rather a sad reflection on on the organistion & culture, feel a bit sorry foe the front line call centre folk.

"difficult to replicate" !.
Try buying / bidding / offers, from Guernsey it's way beyond a joke.

did ite ever work, or this a 'new' feature from a ebay change/'improvement'?
Though from the post above it would appear to have been seller 'discretion' to exclude your location, and given that that it is working to spec, whether the excusions were conciously set that way or just a default is another issue.

Still happening unfortunately,
I deal with long time sellers, they've been in the game for years.
Something changes, and they're not able to help.
To be honest, I'm getting to the point of jacking it in.
Good luck.

Mnes 'just'
"Unfortunately, this item isn’t available for purchase in your location.{e274751-1260494x}"
And whatever {e274751-1260494x} means, there's no look up of or what paramaters this relates to, 'supprt' aren't informing me, as the Sellers and myself are in the same country, there are no 'my country' exclusions from the sellers, and this is happening;
on multiple items,
from multiple (same country as myself) sellers,
both business or private sellers,
be it buy-it-now or bidding, and
be that on 2 different PCs and the Android App,
so I suggest there's a ebay system problem,
Also not having any response from ebay after having a case open from over 5 days now.
Hardly fair or respectable spport or a 100% reputation of 20+ years ebay user!
Do I feel valued or respected, how could !
Note this isn't a 100% can't bid / buy, but affecting computer equipment, drones, and camaera lenses for me. I would have spent ~£1400+, but I suppose on the bright side the money's still in my account, not sellers or ebays :-} Just what ebay and seller want no doubt.
The really anoying, impudent thing is so called customer 'support', its just contemptuous.
A bit like you, hardly a 'platform of choice' and not soemthing that can be relied upon or trusted?

Hi a_christo, thanks for your patience on this.
The team has confirmed that for the particular example you've provided, the transaction couldn't have been placed due to the sellers settings of the listings. This means the problem wouldn't have been from your end, while I'd like to share more information on this, we are unable to provide details of other users for privacy and security reasons.
Thank you,
Marco
