Required Ebay Account

Ebay requires UK residents to provide National Insurance number, but then refuses to accept it!  Why?  This is barmy!

No-one else has reported this to my knowledge.   The one post where someone was having an issue it turned out they were trying to use their NHS number and not the one that is in the format XX 11 11 11 X.

What actually happens when you input your NI number?

In this case, the best thing to do is contacting customer support here. If there is a technical issue, they can report it to get it fixed, and if it is related to something else, they will be able to confirm what it is and advice what's the best course of action to get it resolved.
