Relisting items have added text

when I chose to relist an item that hasn’t sold. I have to edit the description because, for some reason, there is added text which looks like some sort of code.  “/p><br /><p>I” is pasted a few times inbetween sentences which I have to remove each time. What is this? Why does it show? Do I need to delete it?

Relisting items have added text

It’s html code

no idea why it shows, an eBay error somewhere

no you don’t have to delete it, your listing description will show as normal on the live listing

you can highlight it all and delete and do your description again if it’s not too long

or you can use the cursor and add bits here and there or delete bits which is a pain if you’re not sure what the codes mean or where to type

Annoying

eta

if when revising you chose use AI description it populates it with normal looking text

which is easier to work with

just click anywhere in the description to bring up the option

Hi dannys_vintage_and_retro, thanks for your post.

Can you try clearing the caches and cookies of your browser and then try again? If that doesn't fix the issue, please let me know 1 or 2 examples, and I will get that reported with the technical team to get that resolved for you.

Thank you,

Marco

I am currently away, and will return on the 5th of August. Please expect a delay in my reply
