More than one currency in basket... So therefore I have to pay full postage more than once?

As the title says, I have multiple items from ONE seller. They are from Germany, I am from the UK. The price for postage is £25.49, the item total is £62.42. Yet, the total postage is £76.47. Most items add £0.53 to the totally after the first one, but because the currency changes, it adds FULL price of postage again for Euros and Dollars (Why are they even in dollars?).
As for the items, they are about 5cm by 3cm each and weigh practically nothing, so it can't be that the package will change drastically.
I will message the seller to get a customer price, but I thought it might be something to note.

Hi luomod75, thanks for your post.
Just for clarification, you mean the seller is not combining postage for all items, and instead you have to pay postage for each item you placed in your basket? Maybe VAT is being added to your transaction since the item is coming from Germany? Once I get more info on this, I'd be happy to assist you further.
Thank you,
Marco

is postage via the Ebay Global Shipping Program? I know it used to be that postage their was added per item, even if from the same seller.

Have you have signed up (possibly inadvertantly) for immediate payment on Buy It Now/Make Offer listings? If so then you can no longer take advantage of combined postage (and a few other options, such as Click&Collect) as it is not possible via the immediate payment process.
As far as I know the immediate payment default option is set to 'ON' when listing, so sellers may not realise they're using it. It is possible for sellers to remove the option but you'd need to ask them if they can do that.
As a buyer, if you have previously agreed to have payment taken immediately it is possible to remove it from your account; Message #5 on this thread - https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Buying/Auto-paid-removal/m-p/7499878#M59918 - gives instructions on how to do that, though I can't guarantee it works because I've never 'signed up' to using it. If I see a Buy It Now or Make Offer listing which requires Auto-Payment I neither purchase nor make an offer.
Hope this helps.
