Is anyone else having problems contacting sellers?

I have tried numerous times to contact sellers about items that I am interested in, to get more information. However none of them, 3 in the last few days, have responded to me. Is this a technical issue or just a lot of very rude sellers?

Two years later and I can't contact a seller as recieved damage items I purchased. EBay advice, he might have blocked me, then app says, system down. Try again, I've been trying most of the day.

Hi yes I've been having serious issues trying to either reply to sellers or contact sellers. It keeps telling me to try the classic view but nothing works. I've spoken with an eBay representative who has told me that eBay is experiencing real problems regarding the message and feedback systems and it seems to be nationwide. Unfortunately it's the joy of technology when it goes wrong! Hope this helps answer why you are not getting anywhere with eBay today.

It keeps telling me to try the classic view but nothing works.

If you are using a mobile browser, try going to the main eBay page, scroll to bottom and select "Classic Site". Then navigate to the message page and try to reply or compose a new message.

Or try a desktop browser, or a mobile browser in desktop mode.

If you have eBay messages sent to your email, try replying directly to an email rather than using the blue "reply" button in the message.

hi , i have been scammed for £800.00 with faulty goods and the seller and ebay couldnt give a toss.. getting regular now. it boils my *bleep*

All depends if they have blocked you
You should contact eBay direct in your case

I cant even type a message into the pop-up box. Ebay have done a software update to change the look and feel of the message pop-up. I have reported this three times still no action. They tell me that many users have this issue. My suggestion - Ebay should go back to the previous version which worked just fine for 20 years

Are you clicking on the "Send message" text line to enter your text?

Seriously, it was good of you to hold back on the number of exclamation marks.

Whenever I think "eBay" when I'm struggling with their new messaging system, in my mind it's spelled "eBay?!?!".

I don't know if it is eBay's answer, but it is certainly one of the first things I suggest for users interested in troubleshooting an issue.

Can you think of an easier way to rule out a browser issue?

If trying another browser does not work, at least it can save you from fiddling with your settings, cache, cookies or add-ons unnecessarily. And if it does work then you have an immediate workaround at your disposal.
