Hi,
Looking for some help with my recent application to sell in adult section restricted items.
I was asked to make an application which I have done. I was told 3 weeks yet have heard nothing back.
Im sitting on stock which I would prefer not to have to take to a diffrent platform. As a long standing ebay member of over 20 years selling I would prefer to stay here but I do really need to get my stock moving.
Could some assist please as I do not seem to be getting anywhere with my enquiries which is a little frustrating.
Hopefully someone will see this and reach out with a solution.

Hi Marco,
We've been waiting since February to get approved to sell in restricted categories.
After speaking to some advisors on the chat multiple times and being promised a phone call/email within 1-3 days, we still haven't heard anything.
We have also been asked to fill in another application (even if it quotes on the application that we must only complete one application per account) and waited the requested time and still no response.
Ebay is our preferred sales platform, but we're sitting on stock that is reserved from Ebay for months now and would really like to get a response.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes it was sent from this account. The original application was on 20th February 2024 and one of the customer service advisors advised us to submit another which we did on 6th May 2024.

Could you chase mine up aswell. I keep contacting them and each time told something different. Last contact was Friday just gone and was told It has been escalted and I should hear in 72 hours but not heard anything again. Can't remeber when I first applied as after i used the online form I did not get any confirmation after to keep a check of the date but it was a few months ago. It was on this account

susapric-68, could you please confirm to me when exactly did you submit your application and if it was sent from this account? Could you please let me know what kind of items are you looking to list as well?
fluxity, as stated in that help page, you are required to meet the criteria there. However, If you meet the criteria and you are still being prevented from listing your items, you might be required to request approval, and then you can request approval with the links provided there as well.

As I said I don't have the date as I got no message from eBay after i sent the online form. It was around the middle to end of April. It was sent from this account and they have found the application each time I have contacted them and always tell me a different date. It's for Adult sex toys.
As I said I last contacted them Friday 14th June and they said they have escaltes it and I would hear in 72hours. They also asked if I had tried to list anything to see if I'm allowed but I told them I would not do that until I know I can list as don't want any bad marks on my account

I applied back in the middle of May to have authorisation to sell Adult Products on my account, as I explained I have acquired 2 x pallets of adult toy products via a liquidaton auction and wished to sell these on, on eBay.
I have a business account with eBay for 4 years and am a Top Rated Seller under the account name BTCarParts. I explained that I had a 2nd eBay account which was a private account, and that I have paid to upgrade that account to a Business Account and set up a shop on it in order to sell the adult products.
I explained that I obviously need to keep the adult products separate from my exisiting ebay items (for obvious reasons).
I was told I would hear within 3 weeks.
I have chased this now on multiple occasions. I have been told that the eBay 'back office' do not accept telephone calls and will not make them either, and that all they can do is have messages passed on to them. I have asked, and been promised on multiple occasions, for confirmation and a copy of the "message" that has been sent onto the back office, and told i would be sent it, and never have.
I have stock sitting here, that I can't sell!
It is ridiculous that the process, in this day and age, is taking this long. And that it is impossible to speak to a human!
