Good morning. I sold a pair of jeans and the buyer did not pay. I have opened a case for non-payment under the "Resolve a problem" tab. I know that from 15th February I can close the case and receive my fees back.   I want to offer the jeans to the next highest bidder. My question is, can I do this before I have closed the case, or do I have to wait until I have closed the non-payment case? (Just in case the buyer now pays?)   (The buyer wanted the jeans posted to Mexico when I do not offer international shipping and when I told them what the postage cost would be they never responded to my messages and invoice; it has been 2.5 days now and they have not paid and have not contacted me at all. I sold an item, checked it over before posting. It had no defects. Buyer had already sent several messages asking for lowest price, I thought I had blocked him but obviously not. It arrived this morning buyer said it has paint on it, he is not happy , I have asked him to open a case, he has refused. several messages later, he has asked for my address and said he will return in next month. i have replied to every message sorry but you need to open a case. he has threatened negative feedback several times and has now left it. Ebay are refusing to remove it not sure where I can go from here.   He has also told me several times he has the exact same jacket but in much better condition than the 1 I sent.    Any advise?   UPDATE     I have just spoken to ebay, explained about the feedback extortion and the guy I spoke to wants to leave it to see if he opens a case, he said if he does the feedback could be evidence of his intent as at the moment he hasnt really said what he wants. I have to phone back in 3 weeks, the return it next month bit confused him as well I think I am just unlucky!   Buyer is blocked but is still able to message me as I received another message last night asking me to block him so he doesnt accidently buy any more of my **** Thank you for all your help ... Hi, I put up a new listing last night for a vintage bath tap set, price £120. Had 18 views, 19th viewer put on watch list, then a short while after it pops up as sold. Just looked and this person only registered today, no qu's asked, no feedback, feels dreadfully unsafe to go ahead with sale. Have a suspicion this person viewed it then made a new account to buy. What if theyre planning a chargeback? Would be sent fully tracked and insured but something doesnt feel right. Should I cancel and risk losing a sale? Please advise x ... View more

Just started selling again after a long lapse. Unsold items are being automatically relisted but on relisting they are being relisted with the option of "best offers " .  When I first listed the item I de selected the offers option . On checking details it appears that eBay is also deciding a minium offer which is about half of my original start price . This means I have to be very attentive when a listing ends and need to go back into it manually to revise the listing to remove the " best offer " option . Last week I received an offer on an item minutes after it ended and had been relisted with offers. Why is this happening and how do I stop it ? ... View more

Hello,   I had a buyer claim that he never received an order. At the time I couldn't find my proof of postage, but I have just discovered a batch of proofs that I hadn't cross-checked against the order.   The buyer was refunded as I was unable to provide proof of posting. Ive been calling the contact centre trying to discover why my seller account of 20 years (user: Layters) has been suspended indefinitely without warning, 100% feedback and above standard account. The cs team insist I can't escalate or appeal and their policy is to not give a reason why. Has anyone found  away to challenge this. It's a nighmare. Such complete disrespect to loyal customers. If I've done something wrong then I'll hold me hand up and try and rectify it but I've had no notification of anything this just came out of the blue. The only thing I can think is that i just changed internet accounts and have a new IP which I guess could be recylced. But there litterally is no way to challenge of question this,  All I get is the same scripted line over and over. It's due to account behaviour. When I ask what  behaviour two adivsers told me they couldn't see any reason another told me it was account behaviour and when I challenged her to explain what behaviour exactly I was just told it's against policy to give that information.    What a way to treat loyal customers. So disrespectful. Any help would be appreicated.    I know a lot of you will want to just say it's pointless. I have been buying & selling on Ebay for more than 10 yrs and it has always served me very well. What I would like to know is why customers are being railroaded into buying from certain sellers  Take the  'lowest price plus P&P' selection?  Using identical keywords for a product and selecting 'Lowest price' option will obviousy display the items in price order starting with the lowest price for the item you are searching for, right? WRONG!  That search wil now take you to the company that pays the most commission to eBay each month from their total sales, it would seem. This concerns me because something I have been selling in good numbers for years (of which I have plenty of stock) has hardly moved for 2 mths yet a higher priced competitor has sold loads, yet is more expensive. I contacted ebay Cust Support last week and they cant (or wont) explain This is extremely unfair and stops any competition. Has anyone else noticed this? ... View more

Hi everyone,   this is my first ever post as a seller and I'm a little stumped as to what to do. I've had terrible experiences with amazon forum members so please be kind, I'm just a solo seller with my mum at home in my spare time.  the other day a buyer bought a game and paid immediately, then sent me an email asking to cancel. I normally don't mind cancellation requests before someone has paid but I've never had this happen. I know eBay has a system in place now where buyers must request cancellation so I told them that. I haven't had a request or response from the buyer. this was pretty late at night too.  unfortunately, my mum didn't see this email and merely packaged it up and did the postage while I was asleep. I explained to them when I woke up and now we are unsure what to do. I still haven't had a reply from the buyer either saying anything.  I don't accept returns anyway normally and she didn't give a reason other than 'in error' which seems difficult to complete an entire transaction by accident.  at this point I'm not sure if I should just email and say since I haven't had a request I'll be sending it out? Especially as fees were obviously already paid automatically.  I know a lot of you will say refunding is the best option for the least problems but I'm just not sure on this one.  Some thoughts would be appreciated and I've learned my lesson that I'll have to start leaving a note for my mum in the future but it's never happened to me before.  Thank-you in advance  ... He has sent pictures that clearly show use when my original pictures do not. I suggested he send it back so I can confirm that the parts are defective and then I would issue a refund. BUT ebay seems to have decided that I am going to issue a complete refund which given that it went to ITALY, I am not. I cannot contact anyone. I have reported the buyer. What can I do? ...
