How about this for stupidity on the part of eBay. I sold an item on eBay for £77. It was a charity auction for the ShelterBox charity. I accepted the £77 as cash on collection. I marked the sale as collected and cash received. eBay have acknowledged the sale by refunding the final value fee (£7.70) and it appears on the attached invoice item number 32. They are unable to raise an invoice for me to pay the charity leaving me to do as I will with the cash and if I choose not to to donate the £77 (I won't) the charity will lose the donation and, more to eBay's interest, they will have done themselves out of the final value fee. ... I sold item on 3rd April Late in Day  My Post is collected MONDA, Wednesday and Friday Mornings.   The Post was collected from my Home on Monday 6th  On Thursday Customer reported item not received I emailed Customer that only 3 days had passed and He should receive in next few days   Non receipt filled by you   On Sunday 12th  YOU refunded from MY Paypal account The Full Purchase price    Why when you had written to me that I had to respond by 20th April   The money has been taken from my Paypal Account.   I do expect for you to give reason for refund and repay this amount to my account.   There is no reason why the item will not be received by the Buyer.   This must be a mistake by Ebay and I will expect refund without any delay.     Please also have somebody speak to me about my account being compromised   This is 5th time in past 6 weeks.   And each time you remove some of my listings.  When they are relisted they appear as per original listing and does not alter any price increase or numbers in stock.  This means that I have to check each Multi Listing to alter everyone in listing as I have over 4,500 items listed you will appreciate tha t all I am doing is checking my stock and do not have time for anything else.   If this continues, I will seroiusly have to consider selling on another Auction site or on Amazon.   Why do youi need to remove my Listings ?   My Customers do not like it when I tell them why I am unable to supply items that were sold months ago.  I do tell them Its Ebays Fault !    I am not very Happy with EBAY at this time.   Bill Lankester MBE  Sidmouth Collectors Centre ... Hello  I recently sold a pair of Tiffany pearl earrings, they were dispatched with royal mail and arrived safely. The buyer then contacts me and says the size is inaccurate, and wants to return them as she has another identical pair and they dont match and she wants a spare. Sends me a photo of two pearl earrings different sizes. I do not argue with the seller and ask her to return them. I had said on the listing no returns and know my earrings size is listed correctly.  Now i am concerned everything about this seems off, there is no one at Ebay to advise and this feels like a scam. Concerned i am not getting my original pearl earrings back and also feel railroaded into a return and had my time wasted. I sold a 2 digital goods to a customer (username and password with credits inside) worth around 220$   After 48 hours he sent me 2 consecutive messages stating that his account was hacked and he didnt make this purchase. Below are the 2 messages:   "My account was hacked... do not send or charge me for these items... I received conversations you had through the email.. this was not me...DO NOT CHARGE THESES ITEMS I DID NOT ORDER THEM!!! TY I see he ordered 2 of these..."   "Do not charge this account.. I have been hacked... I have the conversation where thief asked you to change my account and you did!!!!!!! "This one is owned and using by someone else give me a new account please!" I have it all and I will be showing it to ebay... Why would you do this!!!!!!!! DO NOT SEND THIS!!! DO NOT CHARGE MY ACCOUNT!!!"   I feel that the messages are suspicious and the user is trying to scam me. In the second message he is asking for new account meanwhile the first message he said that someone hacked his account and made the order.   Anyway, i tried to check the 2 sent accounts  in order to try to  take the credits back and refund him. But the passwords are changed and now i am stuck in this situation.   He did not make a claim to ebay. I am a seller , I mail 6 days per week , I am  distratced with buyers yapping about their parcels  being late , i have had several cases opened against my account this week ( seriously NOT happy), would it not be sensible of eBay to wise up re the estimated arrival dates since we are in this woeful sitaution , Royal Mail have a 20% workforce off work mid covid 19  , the UK has taken to buying online like something possesed ! The bottom line is this , most of my sales are small money , I cannot afford to mail signed services , I have to depend on 2nd class , these are the late arrivals aka back of the Q !  Anyone else in a similar position ?  ...
