Ive recently sold an item for £200 plus and extra cost of £7.90 postage which should come to £207.90p,but ive only recieved £193.Why ?????

Yeah I'm baffled as this has happened a few times ,my PayPal said £193 also so wheres the rest gone..theres no one on ebay who will answer me so I'm.not goingbyo.let this go.

Pointless contacting eBay as they do not deal with payments, it is PayPal you need to phone... they are the ones who have taken your money!

because you have to pay fees,

The money that is taken straight away is paypals fee for processing the payment,

ebay invoice for their fees after the sale.

Paypal charge 2.9% plus 30p

ebay charge 10% of the total - item price plus P&P, as well as any listing fees you may have incurred

There are Paypal receiving fees of 3.4% + 20p for UK payments. 3.9% + 20p for overseas payments. They are taken from the payments as they're received.

PayPal's basic fee is now 2.9% plus 30p.

In your PayPal account, what does it say the amount received was before the fees?  

Is there a break down of the payment like amount received and was postage paid on top?

Such an unfriendly place this is.   It doesn't seem to add up for me. Apologies if I've screwed up the maths.

3.4/100 * 207.9 (+20p fixed fee) = 7.27 Paypal fee

Total received should be £200.63

or for International

3.9/100 * 207.9 (+20p fixed fee) = 8.31 PayPal fee

Total received should be £199.59

So without further patronizing the OP, where did the £7.63 or £6.59 go? 

(Maybe this is why OP is asking and not because they don't expect to pay fees.  The eBay fees is another matter as that's charged after.  If they're lucky to have listed during the last £1 FVF offer, then it'd only be £1 fvf anyway rather than £28ish. Even taking that into account, still doesn't get to £193.)

What does your PayPal transaction receipt show the PayPal fee to be? We'd need more info.   (but you'd probably have more luck figuring this out by contacting PayPal)

the OP also had free collection in person, so if the buyer chose that option instead of postage that will account for the missing £7.90

I could perhaps understand this question if you were a newbie seller.  But you've been an ebayer for 10 years, so how can you have never before noticed that you pay payment processing fees on every PayPal payment you receive...? And how can you have not known that payment processing fees are payable...? That's how PayPal make their money. They're a business, not a charity.
