I sold item on 3rd April Late in Day My Post is collected MONDA, Wednesday and Friday Mornings.
The Post was collected from my Home on Monday 6th On Thursday Customer reported item not received I emailed Customer that only 3 days had passed and He should receive in next few days Non receipt filled by you On Sunday 12th YOU refunded from MY Paypal account The Full Purchase price Why when you had written to me that I had to respond by 20th April The money has been taken from my Paypal Account. I do expect for you to give reason for refund and repay this amount to my account. There is no reason why the item will not be received by the Buyer. This must be a mistake by Ebay and I will expect refund without any delay.
Please also have somebody speak to me about my account being compromised This is 5th time in past 6 weeks. And each time you remove some of my listings. When they are relisted they appear as per original listing and does not alter any price increase or numbers in stock. This means that I have to check each Multi Listing to alter everyone in listing as I have over 4,500 items listed you will appreciate tha t all I am doing is checking my stock and do not have time for anything else. If this continues, I will seroiusly have to consider selling on another Auction site or on Amazon. Why do youi need to remove my Listings ? My Customers do not like it when I tell them why I am unable to supply items that were sold months ago. I do tell them Its Ebays Fault !
I am not very Happy with EBAY at this time. Bill Lankester MBE Sidmouth Collectors Centre
You are not talking to eBay, we are members like your good self ( but not MBE,S I'm afraid)
it looks as if you never replied to a case that was opened and the buyer escalated to eBay for a refund?
if you are only posting 3 days a week, you need to check your dispatch times and amend accordingly...
as for your latter query...what browser are you using? IE is no longer eBay compatible....
As arkwebus says, I would have thought that by now you knew that as soon as a case is opened, the money is FROZEN, so it ceases to be accessable in your Paypal Balance, but not refunded to the buyer until either made by you or buyer has to escalate.
By being frozen it means that it is availabe for refund when and if required.
As far as your account being compromised, if t has happened that many times I think you should be trying to work out how it is happening, and where the leak is.
One further thought and with all due respect to @vijorey I think that the situation is less horrendous than you think.
As said we are not eBay and can only guess.
The sale took place on Friday I think. Your current listings show that your buyers can expect delivery of goods sold today will be delivered between Wednesday and Friday. You offer "Fast and Free" and this is what eBay says:
If you see a listing with the Fast & Free logo, you can expect to get your item within three business days, and you won't be charged any delivery fees.
So your buyer is wholly entitled to open a not received case after 6 days. What has happened is that when they do that Paypal takes back the money. It is not refunded to the buyer [yet]. The only time that it would be refunded would be if you - when they open the case - immediately said "Shan't refund" in which case eBay closes the case, refunds the buyer and gives you a defect. Assuming that this did not happen the buyer has 8 days for it to arrive and if not escalates the case to eBay if you did not refund. Again if that happens [and it's still in the future] then eBay closes the case, refunds the buyer and gives you a defect.
Assuming that it does arrive the buyer should then close the case, you get your Paypal money back. But what if he does not? Dishonest perhaps? Then the onus is on you to show delivery by tracking and you will - presumably - not be able to do that and will simply have to refund. I doubt that you used tracked postage and ebay's view is that sellers' pricing shall take account of one or two that go wrong.
That said you are in the words of eBay:
As others say you may wish to look at the way you describe your postage and go from Fast and Free to a less restrictive service. Truly in your case it could not be said that "philately will get you nowhere"? - I doubt you have ever heard that.
You have a vast experience with eBay but posting here will get you nowhere. This is a board for eBay members to post basically asking quick questions for advice. It is not eBay!
EBay is virtually in closedown at present I believe as the normal Customer Service phones are in the Philippines. There is [if I recall] a way that serious business sellers get their own advisor and if so perhaps that may still be working.
