i have two items for sale with a starting bid and a buy it now price. 1 person wants to buy both

I want to give the person buying 2 items that I have for sale a discount for buying both how do I do this? i didnt click accept offers and I have a starting price and a buy it now price. I have had no bids on either item

The easiest way would be be to lower one of the BIN prices. But another buyer could swoop in and snatch it out from under this one's nose at that revised price. Or another buyer could make a bid, which would remove the BIN option.

 

Another way,  to avoid those risks and if the discount you've agreed upon is less or equal to the combined shipping cost, would be to send the buyer a revised invoice, with a revised or zero shipping cost to cover the agreed discount, once he's BIN'd both but not paid.

 

Or you could action a part-refund from the PayPal transaction after he's paid, but you'll be stuck with full Ebay fees. And Paypal no longer refund any part of theirs.

 

By the way, adding a BIN option to an auction costs you money whether the option is used or not. And as I said above, the BIN option disappears the second a bid is placed. So they are generally a waste of money. It's usually best to start your auctions at the minimum price you're happy to accept.
