how do i do a partial refund if the buyer has disclosed a returns dispute?

after all of this saga the buyer has acepted a partial refund however, he has closed the dispute so how do i pay a partial refund without making this a mess?

I recently sold an item on ebay

now my description did not include the battery in my listing however, the buyer has suggested that what was seen in the photos he expected it to be part of sale. i chatted with an ebay agent who agreed with me as it was not listed in my description so was not incuded in sale. i have now been contacted by buyer several time suggesting how do we resolve this but i said it was sold as seen and not part of my listing so it stands as it is. he threatened me with negative feedback which resulted in me contacting and speaking to the agent like i mentioned above. but now the buyer is saying that he has spoken to ebay and that they have opened the request for a return because the buyer said it doesnt match description or photos and that he wants a replacement. i feel like im trying to be fleeced here and that ebay have contradicted by agreeing with me and him.

please help!

Unless you said battery NOT included, I would assume from this statement that it was included.

As others have said, you will have to accept the return.

You can argue all you want, but ebay will allow buyer to return item for full refund & you have to provide returns label.
If you refuse or ignore case, ebay will refund buyer with your money & they keep the item, you won't ebay fees credited either.
May seem harsh, but we all agreed to it when signing up to ebay.

i will wait and see what ebay say but no doubt like you say ive lost because i didnt say battery not included but neither was the shoe or the box or anything else in the photo.

just out of curiosity if i get this returned in a way that was different from how i sent it ie. damaged, not working or anything else how does this work?

You still have to refund, you can try appealing to ebay after, don't hold your breath.

because i have asked ebay to step in and sort this out will this go against me if i ask the buyer on how we can resolve this? he is adamant that he wants the battery with it. does this mean if he accepts for talking sakes that i send him a battery and its not working can he dispute this and send it back? because the battery that came with it doesnt work.

Sending battery won't help you, best to ask buyer to return item for full refund.

can i arrange a courier to uplift or do i need to use ebays delivery service? i used hermes to deliver first time around. im assuming that the original box that i supplied will be used as part of the returns? if not will he have to supply an original box to send back?
