eBay have STOLEN £49 from me in "fees" even though I haven't sold anything. They don't resolve....

Does anyone how I can report eBay to the authorities to get my money back? They don't seem to be bothered about it even though I've been chasing them for 2 weeks. They just tell me to wait for an email... that never arrives

Why dont' you just explain what happened here.

Did you have a non-payer?

I had a non-payer. I contacted eBay and they said i wouldn't even be charged because after 10 days, the fee would be cancelled and money wouldn't leave my Paypal. Fastforward 15 days, eBay have taken £49 from me. So either she was lying or not trained.

Since then I have contacted them for 2 weeks straight. I have spoken to at least 5 employees at eBay and this is usually how it goes:

eBay: Sorry to hear this. Please wait 48 hours and someone will contact you.
*48 hours later*
Me: No one has contacted me
eBay. Sorry to hear this. Please wait another 48 hours and someone will contact you.
*48 hours later*
Me: No one has contacted me.

And repeat the process 3 more times. eBay have definitely STOLEN my money as they immediately end the chat. Suspicious behaviour...

You have to either go through an unpaid item dispute or cancel the transaction. You do these not eBay CS on your behalf. When you complete the process you get a credit of the fees, not a refund as such but you can get the credit transferred to PayPal. The credit may be in the next billing period after the bill which you have to pay. It does not work as eBay CS have implied to you.
