Why can't i list more than 10 items when eBay is telling me I can list like 999+?

So eBay is telling me here that I can list up to 1000 items this month, and it expires on July the 1st

But when I go to list my 11th item it says I have listed the maximum of 10 things this month?? Why did eBay say that in the first place??

And no, I am not selling what they consider "motors or classfieds"

You are a new or occasional seller with no recent selling history, therefore you are still restricted. Until you have a proven record of problem free selling, which would normally include satisfactory feedback from buyers, you are not eligible to have the 1000 listings.

Just to add that everything you need to know about selling here, including the listing restrictions new sellers are subject too, is in the Seller Centre (link at foot of any page). 🙂
