I’ve sold an item and shipped it. How can I mark it as dispatched without using eBay postage?

Can anyone tell me how I can mark an item as dispatched please?

I wrote the delivery address on the package myself, took it to the post office and sent it. Came home to mark it as dispatched but eBay won’t let me unless I buy the required delivery label from them.

Ive been trying for three days now but I can’t find a way to do it... anyone?

Everything you need to know about selling on Ebay, including how to mark as dispatched, is in the Seller Centre (link at foot of any page). You also have the Help pages with their integral search to refer to (links at top and foot of any page).

I've never bought my postage on Ebay, and always manually mark as dispatched without any trouble at all.  If you continue to have problems, note that if you're using IE, it's no longer compatible with Ebay or any other website, so use another browser. I use Firefox.

You do not have to buy postage through ebay to mark as dispatched. You need to explore what the various links mean, as virtually everything you need is on the ebay pages. I would never use any of these services offered by ebay, they cause more trouble than they are worth, I always write my own labels and use the Post Office and Royal Mail. Does more good and helps keep the PO open.

Go to more actions, click dropdown arrow & select add tracking, you should always do this incase buyer opens item not received case.

It will also mark item as dispatched.

If no tracking, tick the option that says mark as dispatched.

Me too, it seems that eBay want to coerce us into sending via them, I'll try for a phone call back
